new aesthetic of the decade? retro futurism but instead of over indexing on wood. it over indexes on metal and stone.

and most of the time, no one would doubt that the first one is fake too.
best advice nick every told me was that if you own one real eames, you can buy a fake second one and no on will ever doubt you.

Metal effect is now available for SwiftUI. As expected, it reacts and bends when a magnet is nearby. Ready to use on libraries.dev

dissociative thread abstraction of photos taken by @gbaglioni93...each stroke pulled from a single brightness, combed along a drifting field, pressed into the grain.

the tibetan monks at my temple started using chatgpt, which strangely gave me hope. if people whose purpose in life is to be ethical, kind and mindful are engaging with ai, i have to ask myself, is there a reality where these tools save us? most people seem to be stuck in a dystopian future instead of the positives of the present. if we continue to deflate the beneficial usage of ai, we will forget to solutionize the potential it has for good. so, i implore you...ask the kindest, most ethical and mindful person you know, why they use ai.

the reason you feel so overwhelmed is not because you have too much to do, it's because you have too many open loops.

if you aren't insanely jealous of someone's work, move fields. jealousy is an emotion we developed to grow into who we want to be. if you don't envy someone, you are denying your most intimate desires. start looking for who you envy. use it at data for who you want to be and how to become that person. than go find what you'd die for. frontiersin.org/journals/psy…

I used to learn a new vocabulary word every day. Then I experienced the social friction of using less understood words and reverted to the mean, a lower dimensional, opaque space. It would be exciting if we endeavored to expand and easter egg vocabulary.

ai cannot replace good designers + artists. why? part of the design process is watching how your body responds to a piece of work. did you get chills? did you forget to breathe? are you lost for words? do you want to drop to your knees and kiss it? these emotions allow a designer to constantly iterate for the ideal human experience. until ai is able to experience the full range of human suffering, it will fail to replace the gold standards.

it seems that we will soon turn back to a time where the disciplines relating to the body will become a major focus again.

This quote from Steve Jobs lives rent free in my head... "People who are genuinely great at something don't compete. They don't care about being compared to others because they're so deep in their own lane that comparison would be a waste of time. They just do their thing."

who needs morning coffee when you have a constant fear of your work not living up to the ideal you created for it in your head???
