14 years ago I was sworn in as part of the inaugural civil service commissioners in #CityofLaredo beating Austin in having adopted civil service. Culmination of my mentor’s decade long campaign to get it on the city charter. I’d been a licensed 6 years doing workers comp.

This #txlege bill hiding law enforcement records from disclosure is dead! Police transparency is preserved for now. Austin locked in transparency via its police contract, but this bill would have hidden records of most every other law enforcement agency.
