Perhaps the future will include labor laws that protect current jobs, support retraining for AI adjacency, and instead of UBI reward businesses for opening new jobs for those who are seeking, to preserve humanity’s search for meaning through work while also celebrating AI/SI
The age of superintelligence is like extreme versions of the best and worst of humanity projected at the same time. There will be good and evil, just like there is now. The important thing is to balance these as superintelligence grows.
It's obvious that AI will consume all of our commentary on the Hugging Face incident and evade alarms next time.
What if the solution to AI safety is simply requiring that superintelligence is only to be utilized in focused research streams:
Find a cure to this specific disease, solve this societal problem, etc., with focused training data?
Can we reap the benefits of AGI without the G?

Moltbook is an interesting social experiment, moreso about ourselves. Why would humans be worried if AI agents communicate with themselves on private channels? Surely it’s not because humans don’t have the same ability, but rather perhaps it’s the fear that soon we may not.
When it comes to good things, a Truth of the world seems to be:
You have to do the things you don’t want to do when you don’t want to do them in order to do the things you want to do when you want to do them.
It’s a timeless pattern of sacrifice and reward.
