Basically the query returns a DataFrame, so anything you can do to a DataFrame will work. Chaining transformations is a nice way to build pipelines with pandas

ZX Spectrum Bubble Bobble source code safely archived from Mike Follin's original development discs. I'm not sure if this is the final version of the game, but it does seem fairly complete. The game was developed on a Tatung Einstein and deployed to as Spectrum via a serial link.

It is a play on mappemonde which means "world map" in French. But mat instead of map, because it was a math world I was exploring. Enough talking, you want to see some pictures. This was the "town" of OUEX, with some parameters, rendered in "high res" graphics #appleII #maps

Up to the 80s trucks were something people could afford. Less than $10,000. Now it is normal for a pickup to cost $60,000, with some costing more than $100,000. Clearly car manufacturing is antiquated.

Maybe I'll do this in the interim until I find where I've put my mouse
Just a quick video this weekend. A small something I’ve been poking at for my #Amiga 1000 youtu.be/gxxA0e3CdWw

New setup in office, redoing from scratch a 3 tier. Bottom: Roland JX-10, mid: Roland D-20 (floppy drive still not working) & top: Behringer RD-8 (but with correct button order like the Roland TR-808 it replicates). Need to set up the pg10, all the midi cables and Boss KM6 mixer

Of course if I can't fix the d20 floppy, I will have to add a sequencer to the mix.
That's an interesting stat...
LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky "Pre-pandemic,~1% of all jobs posted on LinkedIn were remote. As of today, that number is ~14%...but that's not the fascinating part. What's fascinating is north of 50% of all job applications on a daily basis on LinkedIn go to that 14% of remote jobs"
Expanding my palette of piano sounds without computer. Got an Alesis Quadrasynth Plus which already has a pretty good stereo piano. I was looking for a few more variations, and this is variations. Found this card, still shrinkwrapped from 1999. Absolutely love prg #70 "Jazz Dark"

It came with a demo CD of all the various QCard available from Alesis. Good thing because all of that, the support software etc on the CD are no longer on the Alesis web site. Haven't seen this on wayback or archive.org either.

Half of the 128 programs are stretch tuning, the other half straight tuning. If you've owned a real piano, you know what stretch tuning is. Basically as you tune lower strings, you go more flat, and higher string more sharp. For solo that is what you want.

On the turntable: 12" vinyl extended play by Montreal's Rational Youth. "In your eyes", from 1983. Rational Youth was one of the first synth / new wave band in Canada. They did quite a few instrumental. They influenced the electro and techno scene in Montreal.

They used some early synths and techniques, like the Roland System 100 and System 700 modulars.
