in the image below, we can clearly see how airtel is cunningly shaping bandwidth so that the average doesn't cross ~160 on a 200 Mbps line. The connection momentarily crosses the 200 Mbps mark to remain within guidelines but then for the most part, it stoops to 150 Mbps.

TRAI mentions that the ISP must provide 80 percent of the promised speed from the ISP node to the user's premises but doesn't state for how long and Airtel is widely exploiting this gap.

My request is either to make things the way they were before, (take that extra 20% off. It doesn't matter) but reimplement proper traffic shaping instead of traffic policing or rate limiting or stop advertising false speeds on your tariffs and change the plan prices accordingly.

As you can see the median bandwidth never exceeds 200Mbps in the first case even tho they advertise this connection as a 300Mbps one and in the second case the median bandwith never exceeds 113 Mbps even tho it's a 200 Mbps connection.

And before Airtel dismiss my claim stating that we promise speeds "upto" the plan speed, let me tell you this wasn't always the case. Airtel had been providing advertised plan speed consistently. Until their management decided to "tweak" things for worse.
