Every NFT you own is a glass box. Art, traits, rarity rank scraped the second it reveals, often before. @FungoLabs sealed the box instead. The first encrypted NFTs on Ethereum mainnet. Here's what actually happens on-chain On a public chain, an NFT can't keep a secret. So it never gets one. Fungo's fix: Zama's FHEVM. Fully homomorphic encryption lets a contract do math on data it can never read. enc(7) + enc(5) = enc(12) The contract never sees 7, 5, or 12. At mint, the contract draws two 64-bit values using on-chain FHE randomness: a look and an essence. Both are encrypted the instant they exist. No metadata server. No insider list. No back door. Nobody picks what you get. Not even the team. Two layers. This is the part most people miss. The look = the art. Sealed at mint, yours to view whenever, public only if you publish it. The essence = the power. Class, 4 stats, element. Encrypted forever. No reveal function. For anyone. The essence is one 64-bit number. 8 tiles, 8 bytes: 1 byte → class 4 bytes → stats 1 byte → element 2 bytes → reserved The centre is empty. That's where the holder looks from. Sealed NFTs trade sealed. Sell it and your private view dies inside the same settlement transaction. The new holder wakes it with one small tx, 96 blocks later. Publishing the art is a choice. A one-way choice. You can stay sealed forever. Why it matters: this is FHE with real consequences. Rarity stops being a leaderboard everyone front-runs. Trait snipers can't set your floor. And it opens on-chain games where a duel settles without either side revealing a stat. The genesis run: 3,232 sealed NFTs 500 free mints — whitelist + nominees, gas only 2,500 public — paid in cZAMA 232 team Unused free spots get burned forever. They never come back. The whitelist is picked by hand, one application at a time. Connect X, answer the questions, no wallet needed at apply. Wallet linking opens days before mint on its own page.
