Let the layout do the explaining.”

Launch now. Talk to users. Iterate.

matklad.github.io/2026/10/05…

New from PocketJS: quickjs-oxide. A JavaScript interpreter modeled after QuickJS, implemented from scratch by AI in Rust with zero unsafe code, and the first of its kind to achieve performance competitive with the original QuickJS. We spent one month achieving a high Test262 pass rate, then another month cleaning up the code, getting rid of the AI slop, and reaching competitive performance with just a stack VM and reference counting. Over the last weekend at RustChinaConf, we rewrote the core into a register VM and achieved this level of performance in just two days. Now quickjs-oxide outperforms most non-JIT JavaScript engines on benchmarks like V8 v7 and the Octane suite, using only around 30% more memory than QuickJS, while maintaining zero lines of unsafe implementation code and no external dependencies except for BigInt support. Huge credit to @ericoolen_eric for making this happen, and massive thanks to our sponsor @ZephyrCloudIO for supporting the journey!

Yes, one of the reasons I guess, Shenzhen could be the city that had most Linux developers. Why? Because many hardware companies use Linux/Android as the OS, so lots of jobs for linux development. So... after 20 years, that's what you saw now.

那也来说一下我是怎么做自动 24 小时自动提交的 github.com/HerringtonDarkhol… 1.

github.com/Calcium-Ion/moejs

Updated the @threejs Tokyo city, might be my craziest project so far :) The project now covers three switchable areas (Shibuya, Tokyo Station and Shiba with a lattice-built Tokyo Tower), using PLATEAU's real bridge, furniture and tree models plus roof and wall photos, all driven from a control panel whose settings carry across cities. Lighting follows Tokyo's live clock or a time slider, with a physical sky, optional volumetric clouds, varied and changing window lights, neon ads, and street-lamp and headlight illumination that no longer stacks or bleeds between flyover and street. Traffic and trains have better models and adjustable density, white birds fly overhead, and the open items are the pavement-textured road strip under expressways. I don't really know what to do with this project, create it just for fun, as I miss Tokyo ❤, and thank you Opus 5.5! Source code: github.com/jeantimex/tokyo

This is true. You get equally better quality of games with ThreeJS and development is much with AI controlling it. Also very efficient and fast. I can just have my project on a virtual server and keep updating by SSHing in it. No need of a development system either or high end PC to build games.

yes, people seem to forget why general/commercial engines became the standard in the last 20~ years and that it wasn’t always like this and what problem these engines were solving I think it’s going to bifurcate, there will be work that is better suited to the larger established engines but then the long tail will essentially have custom and specific “engines” like they used to; simple because it can actually be simpler that way without all the features of the general engine they doesn’t matter to your game

Me encanta esto. Hardware viejo, software nuevo.
From iOS 6 to Symbian. Pocket Shell now runs on a 2011 Nokia E7, with the same full-screen gestures and fluid animations as the iPod touch 4. This is what cross-platform JavaScript UI could feel like.
