All Assange did was embarrass the US government.
He is held in Britain's high security jail, Belmarsh, This will be his fifth Christmas in the jail. Within hours of a pending court ruling, he could be on a flight to the US. This would set a terrible precedent for journalism. 3/3
The US indictment under the Espionage Act is solely about 2010 leaks reported by The Guardian, the New York Times, Le Monde and provided insights into the conduct of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and what US diplomats were doing worldwide. 2/2
