Player of the year for @ewbfc it’s small things like this that mean a lot,u appreciate them a hell of a lot more wen u get older, and was a good way to finish my time at the club, 2 seasons flew by, it’s an absolute fantastic club I loved every minute of it ❤️⚽️

Lovely speaking with Lil & Larry Redmond on the canvass today in East Wall. Lagger was crucial to the amalgamation that forged EWBFC in 2008 along with my da, Paddy Tucker and the late Tommy Seery.
All great community leaders that have brought clubs and communities together.

EWB is a club built on charity and helping people in need.
Our club, @ewbfc have never closed our doors to anyone, whatever their background.
Football is for all, sport is for all, a club & a community for all.
I met up with @DanielEnnis2024 of @ewbfc and some of the international protection applicants who take part in the football sessions he has organised to provide some normality and an opening into the East Wall community.

We need to take the work these sports clubs do and have been doing, for quite some time now, seriously and give them the backing, investment and respect they deserve.
The only solution is enclosed pitches and facilities.
The only solution is the Alfie Byrne Road redevelopment!

Huge thanks to the guys at Off The Ball for inviting the club & Belvedere chairman John Hayden in this morning to talk about the recent damage done to our pitches in Fairview Park.
John spoke passionately about the club, our history, and our fears for the future
🗣 'We have to ask girls to leave at a certain age - they need separate changing facilities - we just don't have it.'
⚽ After the pitches they use were vandalised over the weekend, @BelvedereFCDub chair John Hayden explained why inner-city clubs badly need access to facilities.

Our under 19s fixture this week is away to @ewbfc on Sunday in the fourth round of the LFA U19 Cup. Venue is clontarf Astro and the kick off is 2pm. All support welcome for our young lads. Massive thanks as always to our sponsors 👏❤️. @LSLLeague @AlQuinn2015 #KDFC #lsllivescore

John make great points. In our club @Marinoafc75 we need to do a bonfire watch every year. I hope the @ewbfc and @BelvedereFCDub project gets going sooner rather than later. Have always believed any public money for sports facilities should be required to be multi functional

More pitches destroyed in Fairview Park. Devastating for the clubs that play there, starting back their league campaigns next week. What is it going to take before the football clubs and sports club are taken serious? We are screaming about this years now!

The football pitch must be retained, at the very least. It means so much to the people of East Wall with generations learning how to kick a ball here, some of which have went on to represent Ireland! We are already struggling to find playing spaces for our kids around this area!
In East Wall, locals oppose council idea to close the only football pitch that is free to use. “We love football so it cannot be closed,” says Antoine Dunne, aged 11. dublininquirer.com/2023/12/2…

Very proud of these lads & what they are embarking on! We have been in discussions over the last while about what the future of sports could look like in our area & just how important it was to all our lives.

It’s amazing what the football clubs in our area have achieved on very little resources and with little to no facilities to call their own. Clubs like @Sheriff_YC @BelvedereFCDub @ewbfc @MPFC20 have done and continue to do extraordinary work with young people.

Myself & Tony O’Neill were invited to meet @GaryGannonTD & @DanielEnnis2024 from @SocDems in Dáil Éireann today.
We discussed community initiatives for the North Inner City, and we also heard @ewbfc & @BelvedereFCDub exciting new development plans on Alfie Byrne Rd.
