Our Specific Aims are:
1. Assess program impacts on subject learning and STEM attraction in majority URM/economically disadvantaged classes
2. Reinforce curriculum accessibility and its relevance to medicine, public health, and data science
This award has been a longtime goal at @PittTweet to support our program (turning 10yrs old!) to reinforce our unique classroom laboratory curriculum for high school students that demonstrates concepts of genetics and evolution using an authentic microbiology experiment.
We are delighted and honored to be awarded an R25 Science Education Partnership Award from @NIAIDFunding entitled "EvolvingSTEM: authentic classroom research curriculum to enhance inclusion and agency in modern life science." Been a long haul to get here, but so worth it!
