Happy birthday to Howard Jarvis … the man who singlehandedly destroyed the California public school system! Even over 40 years later, our students are still suffering because of you! Wow!
From NorCal to SoCal, our spring interns detail their personal experiences growing up in underfunded and under-supported school systems in California. Read more on our website in the link in our bio!
Don’t let the name fool you. The only thing they’re saving are their greedy selves. We cannot let corporations profit off our schools & communities

Last week, hundreds of activists rallied outside City Hall to demand that Mayor Lurie fund SF's climate work. This money goes directly toward addressing pollution and improving health for everyone.
Taking away millions of dollars from these programs is unacceptable.
We don’t need another tax break for the rich, we need more support for working class San Franciscans

It’s time to take power out of the hands of big banks and put it back where it belongs: with the people.

Paying our educators what they deserve is long over due. When we invest in our teachers, we invest in our students!
After striking in solidarity, UESF has come to an agreement that’ll provide educators with adequate working conditions that are way past due.
This is a reminder that together we can win stuff for our communities! But this isn't the end, we need sustainable funding year round.
Leadership that remains silent while educators are demanding livable conditions is choosing a side.

For the first time in 47 years, UESF is fighting back against failed contract negotiations that have resulted in educators receiving unfair working conditions, understaffing, and lack of resources. We must stand in solidarity with SF Educators and all working class people!
