🏳️Time to face obvious facts. iOS Dev courses are no longer viable income for me. I've been disrupted. I'm looking to join a team working on a cool iOS project (full-time or part-time contract). Remote. RT's are appreciated! DMs open.

It doesn't matter you can build faster now. The slop bucket is overflowing. People need to see visible effort, craft and passion in products, otherwise they fade into obscurity almost instantly. Being genuine as a maker is more important than being efficient.

🚨 LAUNCH DAY STORY TIME: Today we are launching @pinnedsocial1. Bear with me, I promise its not AI generated and you will relate with it by being an @X user. I want to tell you what brought me up here. Look back with me to connect the dots: In 2024, I was in a full blown existential crisis as an engineer. Why, you may ask, and it is because I was spending hours and hundreds of dollars in tokens on @cursor_ai, amazed by how I could reuse my native iOS engineering knowledge to build anything I could imagine. No more barriers between mobile, web or backend. This road led me to become a freelancer again, and then I started working with companies that were early adopters of AI-first workflows and building my own apps. I could feel the early days excitement of my career again. Following this plan, I started posting videos about my updates here. One of those videos resonated with @kylancodes, who were helping @carter_munk to find a founding engineer for his new venture. @carter_munk is incredibly ambitious. I mean incredibly ambitious to the level of inviting me to build a new social network with him. Now, sorry for the cringe, but his grit and resilience sparked me the will of leaving my own projects behind to join him in this journey. Because being early in this AI revolution I knew that now is the BEST time for a small team to create such an impactful product. Shortly after, @tess_sutter saw the same and quit her job to join us, handling everything brand, content and marketing related. And all that you see, the backend, the iOS app, the marketing campaigns, the amazing launch video below, the investors that already joined us, was made by a tiny little team of humans empowered by the heavily usage of AI agents and tools and endless hours of work. Our mission is to end the Gen Z loneliness and bed rotting problems by creating a social network that is really social. That optimizes for meeting up your friends in real life, and knowing how they actually live their city, not how it looks like on performative posts online. Pinned Social is going to be the map of how your life happens. Now, if you read until here, please give us a like and a RT to our launch video below, by doing so you will help us immensely! And don't forget: post more about what you build. @X is the best place to find your people online. Don't let nobody discourage you, build stuff and talk about it spontaneously. You will make great friends, to say the least!
PINNED. IS. LIVE. because seeing each other shouldn’t take 47 texts. Pinned is officially live on the App Store right now! Link in bio!

I vibe code every day. I have a team of 30+ engineers. We spend F tons of credits. And I will tell you this about AI from my experience. It’s being wildly over hyped. Everyone is drunk. Fucking drunk. All the CEOs and Gen Z’s saying coding is dead are idiots. IDIOTS.

A Programmer's Loss of Identity: 🔗ratfactor.com/tech-nope2 “I don't belong anymore. The group I identified with valued learning. For the first time in my life, I'm suddenly wary of meeting other 'computer programmers'. There's a decent chance we won’t have much in common.”

Any companies/startups looking for a cracked SwiftUI engineer? Preferably remote opportunities, but might be open to relocating if you’re building something super interesting. Must be okay with me also building stuff on the side. Here’s an example of something I’m building on the side. I did the design, backend, & frontend work. Native & multi-platform.

People who question why UIKit is still used for certain cases usually haven’t built truly complex flows or interactions. The moment you deal with: – Navigation – Gestures – Custom scrolling – GeometryProxy you start running into limitations and unpredictable behavior.

First ever personal app submitting to AppStore after almost 19 years since I started developing for macOS. Motivation was always there but the time wasn’t or call it courage to venture out. Thanks to AI and all researchers behind to make this possible.
Have ~3 hours to get Onboarding sorted out, and fix a bug in Presentation panels before we are ready to submit to Appstore #buildinpublic #Shipaton @RevenueCat xitter.cf/bharath__2020/status/1…

So, I was unexpectedly laid off and am looking for my next role! I'm a Senior iOS Engineer who's been #SwiftLang obsessed since 2016 but a professional #iOSDev since 2020. I've spent last two years building in #SwiftUI and #UIKit before that. Any help is appreciated. Cheers! ✌️👽

I’m open for iOS positions! If you know of any open remote roles (I’m at GMT -3 time zone) I’d love to hear about it! I’ve been working with iOS since 2018, have worked both at a large-scale app and recently helped create a product for a startup.
