“I don’t feel any different than I did in my first Olympics in 92.”
Team dressage bronze medal winner @HesterDressage says you can get better with age in equestrian sports and he is “very proud” to be the oldest member of the team.

What a lovely offer from @artofdavidsmith! ♥️
@eventinghour Well done the GB team for gold at the Olympics. Would love a cracking at drawing some of those horses- beautiful. If anybody else would like one however, please get in touch.
@discoveryplusUK Absolutely dreadful commentary coverage of the showjumping phase of Olympic eventing this morning. The clearly unknowledgeable male commentator continuously speaking over the obviously knowledgable female commentator the whole time. Such a shame.
@discoveryplusUK He also said he couldn’t tell if Alex Hua Tian was “British or Chinese” (as if dual nationality doesn’t exist!) and then proceeded to say he “must have a silver spoon” because he studied at Eton. You should be ashamed of your commentary, despicable.
@discoveryplusUK To add, there was also repeated and incessant mocking of riders. Including comments that riders should simply retire or give up because their score wasn’t good enough. That is NOT the nature of our sport nor does it reflect what eventing is about.
Unbelievably happy for the incredible Tom McEwen and Toledo de Kerser. What an exceptional combination!
Huge congrats to Laura & Oli too for really brilliant results!

She so deserves it after everything. Her resilience and grit have truly paid off! 👏🏼
This woman has just made history! 🤩
She just rode clear to become the first ever Female #EquestrianEventing Individual @Olympics Champion.
Proud doesn’t even come close. What a day for Eventing & what a day for @JK_Eventing!! 😭🥳🤩

Flipping heck. I didn’t realise that Laura had to be resuscitated 5 times following that awful fall she had. The true definition of a Wonder Woman! Incredible strength!

Congratulations to Mollie Summerland for winning the 5*-L at Luhmühlen Horse Trials 2021!
What an achievement by the young Brit in her 2nd ever 5*.

This sport has had some incredibly sobering moments recently. I am unbelievably grateful to have finished yesterday with a happy & healthy horse who came home with me in the lorry. Always be grateful when you cross those finish flags safe & sound, life is so unbearably precious.

Our H&S course writer Clare found this nest in her lorry engine. It could have caused a fire had she not looked. Please check your vehicle if it's been standing for a while @aPonyHour #PonyHour
My heart absolutely breaks for those who have lost their SSC championship qualification. I can’t even begin to imagine how upsetting that must be ☹️
Whilst I understand it, I’m so unbelievably gutted 😭
