The entire team at Temple Digital Group would like to thank our partners including @MarexGlobal, @DRWTrading, @Bitgo, @DigitalAsset, @CantonNetwork and @The_DTCC for successfully executing one of the first US Treasury repo transactions under the DTCC Tokenization Service.
Today, Temple Digital Group participated in one of the first onchain US Treasury repo trades on the Canton Network through the DTCC’s tokenization service.
A tokenized version of a US Treasury security was financed against tokenized cash (Circle's USDCx) through Temple's RFQ platform and settled on the Canton Network, while the underlying security remained within DTC's existing book-entry framework.
The transaction, part of DTCC’s live production trades conducted on July 15, was conducted utilizing the DTCC Tokenization Service, which enables the issuance of tokenized representations (also referred to as digital twins) of real-world assets that can be delivered to DTC Participant wallets of choice.
Settlement was atomic and onchain between the counterparties' wallets, providing delivery-versus-payment in real time while legal ownership of the underlying Treasury security continued to be reflected through DTC's existing book-entry framework.
With the successful execution of this month's tokenized US Treasury repo transaction, Temple's focus turns to extending the Treasury work stream from spot to repo and intraday financing, and carrying the same execution and settlement architecture from tokenized Treasuries to tokenized securities in preparation for the expected October 2026 launch of the DTCC Tokenization Service.

It’s always starts with “no”
Today's market infrastructure was built for another era. The market's outgrown it.
For years we were told no: it won't work or be accepted. Now, those nos are becoming yes.
@YuvalRooz's keynote at Canton Summit traced that shift and what it makes possible.

“The financial system is not a law of nature. It was built by people like you and me.” @wesarn_real set the tone at the Canton Summit last week with a powerful reminder of what’s possible. Proud to be building this next chapter of financial markets alongside visionaries like Eric on the @CantonNetwork.
Execution moved to milliseconds decades ago. Settlement never did, it still runs on a cycle measured in days.
@Wesarn_real's opening keynote at Canton Summit framed that gap as the starting point for rebuilding capital markets around programmable, composable assets.

Today we announced the Claude-led discovery of a molecular machine that we suspect could represent a new gene editing mechanism. Its precise function, biotechnological utility (if any), or level of significance is not yet clear, but at minimum it is work I would have been proud to do as a PhD student. The work was done mostly, though not entirely, by Claude: our life sciences team suggested a broad area of research, Claude read through the literature and a bunch of genome data and discovered something interesting, then Claude proposed experiments to verify the discovery and our team carried them out.
It’s easy to dismiss this as a one-off or curiosity, but we’ve repeatedly seen a pattern where AI performance in new intellectual domains goes from weak to superhuman in a matter of a few years. In 2023 models struggled to do math at the level of an average high-school student. In 2024 they started to do well on math competitions for the best high-schoolers in the country, in 2025 they started to solve minor open problems, in early 2026 more significant open problems, and in late 2026 they are beginning to solve the top few open problems in all of mathematics. We believe AI for biology is on a similar exponential trend.
The main difference between biology and mathematics, of course, is that math can be done purely theoretically, while biology requires experimentation. Some have used this to draw the conclusion that AI’s utility in biology will be limited. We think this is wrong. As we’ve demonstrated today, humans can collaborate with AI to perform the experiments, validate key results in a few weeks and, if necessary, work with the AI to iterate on what they find. Eventually it may even be possible for Claude itself to safely perform the experiments by autonomously controlling lab equipment, with appropriate safeguards in place, but we aren’t doing that today (our lab is also a BSL1/BSL2 facility that doesn't handle materials dangerous to humans).
More broadly, biomedical advancement has many stages — from fundamental biology discoveries, to translational research, to drug discovery, clinical trials, and finally the actual delivery of medicines and health care to patients. We are also interested in these later stages, but even simply accelerating the first stage of fundamental biological discoveries has the potential to speed up and broaden the entire pipeline. Improving our understanding of biology and sharpening biologists’ tools can drive forward all of the later stages, for example by identifying new drug targets, finding new therapeutic modalities, allowing for more precise measurement, and speeding up the experimental loop which itself further accelerates our understanding of biology. This will not in itself speed up clinical trial times, but if it succeeds it could greatly increase the number of promising candidates that go into the pipeline — an increase in throughput even though latency remains.
In Machines of Loving Grace, I wrote about AI’s potential to “cure most diseases in 5-10 years” — a goal that sounds impossible, but one I believe is just barely possible if AI is applied to every stage of the pipeline. The first step is showing that AI can first help with, and then drive, biological discoveries.
Claude’s discovery is the latest in a line of related prior work that goes back decades, beginning with systems like CRISPR, and continuing with discoveries like the bridge recombinase and VIPR in the past few years. Recently, there has been heightened interest in systems based on reverse transcriptase (RT) enzymes, the enzyme underlying the system Claude identified. And most recently, a Stanford team working independently described a novel RT system with an associated non-coding array that is in some ways similar to the one Claude found, though they are distinct systems that evolved independently from each other. I believe that we’re at the very beginning of finding such systems and developing them into powerful tools for biotechnology.
I’m proud of the resources Anthropic has invested in accelerating the public benefits of AI through the life sciences, and we’re aiming both to grow our life sciences team and to work with other scientists to extend this approach to a broad range of problems. If you have a proposal for a research collaboration or are interested in joining our life sciences team, please reach out.
Claude has discovered a previously unknown enzyme system hidden in the DNA of bacteriophages. Beside the enzyme’s gene sits a long array of repeating DNA—a structure that looks somewhat similar to CRISPR.
We don’t yet understand what this system does, but only a handful of known systems share its features, and all of them are able to cut, copy, and paste DNA. Historically, the discovery of such programmable systems has helped revolutionize medicine. CRISPR, for instance, is now the foundation of genetic medicines. But it will take much more work to learn what this system does, and whether it can be put to similar use.

At the beginning... @temple_ny started out looking just like any another trading venue on @CantonNetwork ...
But if you connect everything they’ve been building lately, the picture is much bigger than that.😎
Let’s connect the dots shall we?! 🤔👇
At the beginning, Temple’s role was pretty straightforward:
Give users a place to trade assets on Canton through an orderbook: canton-network:native, $USDCx, $CBTC and other assets could trade directly onchain.
But that was only the first layer...😎
Then Temple introduced its "Lightspeed" architecture with sub-second trades!
Instead of handling every order action directly onchain, order matching happens offchain while settlement still happens atomically on Canton. Wild I know! 😉
The Goal? 🤔👇
Faster execution without giving up on-chain settlement.
Then came "Temple RFQ" ...🔥
This moved Temple beyond normal retail-style orderbook trading.
*RFQ allows institutions to privately request quotes from multiple dealers for larger trades.
Spot, Fixed income and Repo markets can all use this structure!
And this is where things started getting interesting...
Temple later participated in a live on-chain US Treasury repo transaction involving the DTCC Tokenization Service!
A tokenized Treasury was financed against USDCx, with Temple providing the RFQ execution layer.
Now connect that with Temple adding tokenized commodities...just gets better and better folks!
Through Ember Protocol, Temple added markets for:
Canton Gold: $eXAU
Canton Silver: $eXAG
Giving users access to tokenized gold and silver on Canton. Yessah!!!
Precious Metals 🤝 canton-network:native Rails
Then they went further and introduced a direct CBTC/eXAU market.
Bitcoin trading directly against gold...2 of my absolute Favorites! Gold🪙 / bitcoin:native 🟠
But trading infrastructure is only one part of the picture right?
Through "HiFi" , eligible users can move USD from the traditional banking system into Canton markets and convert back when needed.
Bank account → USDCx → Temple → bank account.
Then there’s custody.
Temple partnered with BitGo to connect institutional-grade custody infrastructure with markets on Canton.
Temple has also been connecting with other Canton applications.
@AlpendHQ for example, integrated Temple as an execution venue for collateral-management activity.
So Temple isn’t only building markets users trade on directly, other applications can use its liquidity and execution infrastructure too.
Just a few days ago, Temple introduced Virtual Orderbooks. 👀
A solution to build and deploy custom trading venues on the @CantonNetwork
This might be one of the clearest signs of where they’re heading.
Instead of every institution having to build a trading system from scratch, Temple can provide the infrastructure for them to launch their own private markets. This is an absolute Game Changer folks!!
Now it's time to connect everything...ready?! 😉

There’s a pattern here...👀😉👇
Temple started as a place to trade assets on Canton but it’s gradually becoming infrastructure for how assets ARE:
→ traded
→ priced
→ financed
→ settled
→ accessed
All across the entire Canton ecosystem!
So calling Temple just a DEX misses what they’re trying to build...it's Fully Stacked and much more complex than your typical DEX 😉
The bigger bet seems to be:
*If more traditional and tokenized assets move onto Canton, institutions will need trading infrastructure around those assets.
I think them Temple Boys want to be one of the Main Layers powering that market and that’s the part worth watching.
Not simply how much volume Temple itself attracts...which is already a lot as they have just crossed over $100,000,000 Million Total Trade Volume not too long ago!
But how much of Canton’s financial activity eventually starts relying on Temple infrastructure underneath it.

For too long, regulatory uncertainty has prevented responsible, yet critical innovation from taking root in the United States.
It has been a priority of my chairmanship to reverse this trend.
Though temporary, the Innovation Exemption is a principled, structured grant of relief designed to resolve genuine legal uncertainty, while providing investor protections and upholding market integrity standards.
Through this order and a number of ongoing initiatives, we will ensure that America remains the world’s premier destination to build the next generation of financial infrastructure.

A few days ago, I wrote about how Temple’s recent moves were starting to reveal a much bigger picture.
Now, another important piece has been added: Virtual Orderbooks.
@temple_ny is opening its trading engine to institutions looking to build their own markets on @CantonNetwork
Institutions can launch spot, perpetual, or prediction markets while defining their own access, KYC, eligibility, and market rules with Temple providing the underlying trading infrastructure.
The picture I talked about in my previous post is becoming even clearer:
Temple isn’t just building a trading platform on Canton. It’s building infrastructure that others can use to create markets of their own.
Let’s see what comes next. 👀 @evanvar @DanSimerman
There was no chance we would miss this round.
Thank you @ambresoub and team @KaikoData for building such an amazing company and powering @CantonNetwork
