Yeeeees @AmpCode team! I was going to build the Linear assignment for myself later this week! And now I don't have to! ampcode.com/news/assign-it-t…
This is 47. It’s 24,703,200 minutes. It’s 27 years with an amazing partner. It’s 15 years of being a dad and 11 of being a dad to two. It’s 15 jobs. It’s knowing tomorrow is a gift and that we should cherish the time we have.
It’s a life.
You might say "Evan, my dude, why?".
It's a thought experiment: can a fully emulated RISC-V system running linux be fast enough to be used as a sandbox environment.
As a programming language runtime degenerate, implementing a JIT is an obvious phase.
People say I have strange hobbies and I won't disagree with them.
And at the same time, the era of agentic coding has let me explore so, so, so many ideas.
A perfect Friday example:
One way @AmpCode and orbs feel like the future: in a new thread, said "audit the code base for this old API usage, group the code into areas, create linear issues for each area, and spin up a thread to fix each one" and I have a whole swarm of threads just ... doing it.
I love this!
We've got our own review agent that runs in GitHub and now Amp automatically picks up it's findings and continues to iterate until both of them are happy.
Soo soo soooo great
Amp now gets GitHub reviews, comments, and CI results in the thread that wrote the code. Create a PR from an Amp thread and it will automatically subscribe.
Never leave the Amp app again.

I'm still reviewing code across Dashbit's projects and my open source projects. And, because of coding agents, I am reviewing significantly more code than before.
Compared to last year, how much code are you reviewing?
63%More code
9%About the same
14%Less code
15%I no longer review code
779 votes • Final resultsHow much did Ubiquiti pay for this ad campaign, wow.

It's honestly impressive the number of sandbox companies that have been created in the last 6-8 months.
But what's impressive is how OSS is the #1 driver of the vast majority of the ability to being these quick and easily.
It's unclear how agentic coding is going to effect OSS, but it's also super important we recognize how important it's influences on advances today.

Hi everyone! I'm going to do a live stream tomorrow at 9am PDT (16:00 UTC) with Max Bernstein. We're going to hack on ZJIT! Join us if you have time!! youtube.com/live/h9_FyHYUhww…
Doing some work on an upcoming Miren feature and wondering who's using A2A (a2a-protocol.org/latest/#wha…).
Thinking about how to give users personal agents access to domain-specific agents. (i.e. Claude talking to a USPS agent to get mailing info).
