My 7-year-old son can’t watch sports with me anymore. Not because of the games, but because of the commercials.
The horror movie trailers are the worst. The terrifying imagery can send him into a spiral of anxiety that lasts well beyond the 30-second ad. These are images his young mind simply isn’t ready to process.
We talk a lot about mental health in this country, especially in sports. Yet between the relentless gambling ads, alcohol promotions and genuinely disturbing horror trailers, I’ve reached a point where watching an MLB or NFL game with my kids requires me to monitor every commercial break.
I love sports. I work in sports. Some of my favorite childhood memories were made watching games with my family. I want that for my sons.
I wish we could exercise better judgment about what we’re putting in front of families during sporting events.
Sports should bring generations together. Instead, I’m increasingly forced to treat game day like an adults-only event.
Something feels very wrong about that.

The decision is not surprising.
What’s surprising is the fact that they still underestimate how the decision will tank their ratings. Imagine releasing one of the most beloved, overtly Christian stories of all time and believing this decision will make viewership go up.
Meryl Streep will officially voice Aslan in Greta Gerwig’s ‘NARNIA: THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW’.

Dear @Apple, please change this. There’s no reason for not making these gestures assignable, or option for disabling.

JUST IN: Memphis crime plunges 36% year-over-year, with murders down 44%, robberies down 43%, & vehicle thefts down 57%.
In other news….Nazis claim Churchill hid information about the harmful effects of gas chambers.
For years, New Yorkers have demanded access to City records about the lasting health impacts of the horrific September 11th attacks. For years, they have been denied and ignored.
That ends today.
My administration is launching a free online portal for 9/11-related documents and releasing the first 170,000 pages today — available now at nyc.gov/sept11docs.
These records prove what families and first responders have long known: City government knew the conditions around Ground Zero were dangerous — yet lied to New Yorkers.
Thousands pay the price for this. They bear the effects of that day every time they struggle to breathe or visit the doctor. More people have died from 9/11-related illnesses than were killed on the day itself.
As we mark twenty five years since September 11th, our vow to Never Forget will not waver. We will remember — and honor — those we have lost with the accountability and honesty they deserve.
>@PeteHegseth @DeptofWar I don’t know the specifics, but from what I’ve heard the latest FAA rules have delayed my friends from being able to transfer for another 6-months to a year. They were already delayed 12+ mos after their original timeline. Pls consider an exception
Sec. @PeteHegseth, I have a friend who has encountered multiple delays in his request to transfer from Pensacola back to Memphis after ATC training. His wife just had their first child and they are anxious to be back home with family and our church. Can you help?

My only conclusion from this is that Mandani found out early in life that money grows on trees, Santa clause literally makes all the free toys, and the tooth fairy is contractually bound to double your payout every year. And he’s shocked that Americans don’t know this.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s illegal for landlords to:
- Lock you out or evict you without a court order.
- Shut off your heat, hot water, electricity, or other essential services to force you out of your home.
- Retaliate against you for reporting unsafe conditions or exercising your tenant rights.
- Leave serious health and safety hazards, like mold, unrepaired.
- Discriminate against you because of your race, disability, or other protected characteristics.

First it was Swift and Kelce and the Super Bowl. Then it was a John Piper tweet. Now it is the Odyssey. And it’s always the same people trying to fuel your anger. ewerickson.substack.com/p/op…

It is really something to watch feminists not quite sure how to handle transgender sports ruling. They know it’s right, but the ideological commitments to reject anything considered Republican/Trump leaves a dilemma. You can see it.
Let right be right and wrong be wrong.
Hey @Disney @DisneyPlus if I take my family of six to a movie on opening weekend, I should be given the option to buy it the next day. Just go ahead and let me, cause you know I can’t afford to take them all again.
Someone at #ozempic should be fired for trying to remake the Mac vs PC commercial. Terrible writing and complete loser move.
Wrong. My kids are 9-13 and are ecstatic about this. Even though the sequels came out and we saw them in theaters together, this is their generation’s Star Wars. My son rewatches the Mando series twice a year. It’s awesome to see him connect and nerd out on it. 👏@Jon_Favreau
So this was my experience talking to @claudeai in the car yesterday. I had to spell the word COWORK for it to realize it even existed. @AnthropicAI
“We’re still covering…..” THE SCORE
@3onyourside do you seriously not have any other graphic layout than this? Covering the top is better than the bottom. But still, get creative.
Not enough recognition for @deaninserra ‘s nugget about Kelce’s mom on the @BullyPulpitPod last week.
