800K+ collectors, 8M+ NFTs from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and more are processed by @veve_official, an application on top of @CollectChain, built using the Evolve (@ev_stack) SDK and using Celestia for blockspace.
@CollectChain is a purpose-built chain for licensed digital collectibles, enforcing royalties and licensing rules onchain.
By using @ev_stack for execution and Celestia for blockspace, @CollectChain:
- gets 250ms finality for the transactions it processes,
- retains control over execution, fees and its own upgrade schedule, and
- inherits decentralised security guarantees by posting its block data to Celestia without the unnecessary operational, engineering, or financial bulk of bootstrapping a validator set, among other benefits.
The article below describes an architecture that allows products to spend less time operating network infrastructure, and more time building for its users.

Rollkit has Evolved 🧬
After spending 6 years working on the Cosmos Stack, I have spent some time reflecting on what could be improved. Evolve is the product of those learnings. Today users are hindered with stack maintenance and overhead, Evolve will reduce the stack overhead allowing teams to focus on their product.

Mammothon Ideas Series: 3 things you should do to build Web Proofs and create a platform for verified, authentic content 🦣🦣

The first project idea I decided to explore from the @celestia and @encodeclub Mammothon is "Web Proof" by @RollkitDev and @Artela_Network . The prompt they provided was already quite detailed, but I chose to delve deeper into aspects such as the problem space, target audience, engagement scenarios, and information architecture. I might have gotten a bit carried away, but I hope this serves as a source of inspiration for someone.
I think there is still room for a lot of improvements, especially around:
- User onboarding and education on Web Proofs
- Detailed user flow to create a "Badge of Proof"
- Cross-platform compatibility
I'm excited to continue exploring and sharing insights, but in the meantime, who's building this?

blog.celestia.org/lazybridgi…
In order for modular to succeed long-term, applications cannot be forced to trade off access to users and liquidity, due to cross-chain fragmentation.
Lazybridging is Celestia’s “endgame” plan to allow Celestia’s blockspace to be saturated by a multi-rollup ecosystem that feels like a seamless, single experience to the end user.
Lazybridging will be enabled by adding a ZK-based IBC client to the base layer, which will enable rollups to natively bridge to Celestia, without the need to add smart contracts to the base layer, which introduces performance overheads such as state bloat.
I believe that Celestia might be the only rollup ecosystem that is capable of achieving a frictionless modular experience user in the long-term, for two reasons. Firstly, Celestia has single-slot finality, which means that interoperability can be instant, especially as we take advantage of decreasing ZK proving times.
Secondly, Celestia supports IBC, which means that applications will have a native way to access assets and liquidity outside of just the Celestia ecosystem, but across the wider blockchain ecosystem, without third-party multisigs. For example, rollups would be able to access native USDC via Noble, or access BTC via a Babylon IBC connection. This can also be used to bridge to non-IBC chains like Ethereum without third-party multisigs, as upcoming improvements to IBC will make it easy to deploy an IBC client as an Ethereum smart contract.
The main reason why some developers choose to deploy smart contracts on monolithic chains instead of rollups right now is better access to users and liquidity. But if we eliminate that reason with an interop experience identical (or even better) than using a monolithic L1, then developers choosing rollups will be a no brainer, as it gives them more flexibility over capturing revenue rather than leaking it all to the base layer, let alone allowing them to create products that simply aren't possible on existing shared VMs. That's what the big opportunity is.
Celestia’s ZK-based IBC client, which is the first step to Lazybridging, is undergoing implementation work, with deployment on the base layer targeted for the first half of 2025. A proof-of-concept is also being developed that bridges a Rollkit-based reth chain to Celestia, using the SP1 prover.

"Unstoppable" is the best way to explain "decentralized"
Decentralized is confusing because it combines 4 properties which mean nothing to normal people:
1. Verifiability
2. Immutability
3. Censorship Resistance
4. Liveness
Unstoppable is a phrase even Mert's mom would understand, and it neatly covers all 4 properties of decentralization.
Blockchains are unstoppable because anyone can verify their integrity to stop others from cheating (verifiability), no one can unilaterally change the chain (immutability), anyone can use them (censorship resistance) at any time (liveness).
Basically, unstoppable means that no one can fuck with the chain.
I like "permissionless" too, but imo it only covers censorship resistance, not the other 3 properties.
Either way, one thing is absolutely clear -- we need better language to get people to understand and care about the value prop of blockchains. "Decentralized" won't cut it.
it's likely better to message blockchains as permissionless rather than decentralized
decentralization is an abstract term to anyone not in crypto — permission is a universal and concrete concept for everyone
you: "we are building a decentralized financial system"
your mother: "johnny, wtf are you talking about? go to bed"
vs.
you: "we are building a permissionless financial system"
your mother: "wait so I can send money to my parents without filling out a bunch of shit at the bank?"
in practice, you can't really get permissionlessness without decentralization in the first place — so it's already implied in the term
