The interrogation scene and Geum Seokjung's execution were heartbreaking to watch. Gakeyung learns the hard way what it means to fight for your ideals against a suppresive, cruel occupier. Dramatization aside, Koreans have suffered >>+ #100DaysOfDeceptionEp6 #100DaysOfDeception

tremendously and I, coming from a nation that knows very well what it means to fight for motherland's liberty, keep watching, sympathising with them and hoping that never again history repeats itself. #100DaysOfDeception is a hard, yet necessary watch. #100DaysOfDeceptionEp6

A comment on MDL that I agree with 100%. #TheEarlySpringEp13 #TheEarlySpring "The Italians say: la verita offende ... (we have the same saying in Greece, too: η αλήθεια πονάει) The truth hurts! From both Luke's & Alex's point of view, Flora is indeed "obedient" (it is her default mode) & "cheap" in relative terms in the remuneration stacks (very competent but with a track record of barely two years & just a couple of "wins" under her belt concerning a particular "commodity"). The big difference is how Luke & Alex seek to capitalise on their insight of Flora's capabilities & potential. Lumi tries to alert Flora that those of Alex's ike lay very clever traps for the "bright new sparks" who will be mercilessly discarded if they stop "sparking". Alex plays the double game with both his team members & his clients. Alex will not put his neck out for anyone other than himself! Luke is undeniably blunt but in my book his straight speaking is a million times better than Alex's pretty but deceptive words. Unlike Lumi, Flora still does not have the street smarts to fully understand this."

i feel like jbr is so good at acting a man who’s deeply in love, someone so infatuated by his woman. his body language, his gazes are just so so on point. i really think not many actors are SO good at acting this type of characters. and he has mastered this art #TheEarlySpring

I love how #TheEarlySpring has created this massive discourse on the strengths and weaknesses of humans, our flaws and imperfections, the emotional and mental blackholes we get sucked into as we wade through life, our capacity to rise above them, and at the end of the day, our capacity to be better people. Never perfect but better. You'll never have this kind of discourse if your characters are all "green".

True. But if you want to excel, you need to look ahead regardless how difficult your present is. He's giving her a life lesson because he cares, but with the worst way possible. #TheEarlySpringEp13 #TheEarlySpring
she definitely should’ve been more careful here, especially bc of the legal implications. but luan nian has to understand that not everyone has the privilege of looking at life from ten steps ahead. when your life revolves around trying to make it through each day, you don’t always get to think about the life you could have someday #theearlyspring.

Yet even if Luan Nian improves leaps and bounds, this amounts to little if his partner holds a massive inferiority complex. Every dagger that has been shot from his mouth will forever be etched in her being. Because she feels so inferior, she will take all these sharp words to heart, damage done, her subconscious never moving on, and no amount of redemption from his side will be able to take these knives out until she finds the courage to do it herself. Until she finds the self-esteem to shield herself with from every sharp tongue the world will inevitably send her way, from every setback she will inevitably find herself in. This self-esteem is something that Dr. Liang has and Shang Zhitao unfortunately doesnt (yet). And that spells their difference. And that also maps her character trajectory. #TheEarlySpring
What I love best about the #TheEarlySpring drama adaptation is it is merciful enough to give Luan Nian room for immediate redemption after his big blunders. His character development is very evident after his mistakes and it's all thanks to the drama giving him space for reflection and an honest, direct friend in Tan Mian who is not afraid to call out where he went wrong. These very important elements for growth weren't as present in the novel. The drama doesn't wait for when the relationship to just explode; it sees the cracks and allows Luan Nian to redeem himself and save the relationship before it falls apart. Of course, he still fails in the long run but the drama rationalizes that they manage to keep it going for years not only because they persist through the issues but because they also work on these issues to the extent they can.

#TheEarlySpring drama version manages to strike a balance between the gradual development of Luan Nian's character and the fact that he knows he's a terrible person but can't control it. Same with Zhitao. She is gradually starting to speak her inner thoughts, but her attraction to him prevails. This way, because of their missed opportunities, their breakup and Luan Nian's breakdown will be more painful to watch.

"How did I become the person I hate the most" gutted me as he consciously realized how much he was renacting the same patterns of his upbringing despite trying to deviate from it. While I was so angry at him a scene back, atp I am just like so relatable! Kudos to the drama fr👏

I spent almost 2h watching a short drama on YT, and still can't believe in my eyes. Not so much because of the plot; mainly because Lee Sangyeob was in it 😭 Where is this industry heading to?

#FourHandsTwoSonatas 1st impressions: By the end of ep1, I was a bundle of nerves and excitement. That opening scene with Lee Jun Young shot and plunging into the lake had me terrified this might end tragically for him. I already feel so much for his character, Jeong Yo. But the episode also promises a fascinating unraveling of the dynamics between Song Kang's character Bi O and Jeong Yo. This closing cut captures it perfectly. Jeong Yo holds such fond memories and admiration for Bi O from that childhood competition they shared, but Jeong Yo became Bi O's trauma, a thorn in his heart, because Jeong Yo took first place. Bi O is technically brilliant, yet his playing lacks soul. He's so consumed by the need to impress his maestro grandfather and earn the old man's approval that he has never found his own voice at the piano. Then there's Jeong Yo, that raw, unpolished diamond. He seemed to have a decent enough childhood to at least afford lessons, but in the present, with no mother and a father who fled from debtors, Jeong Yo's gift comes from within, from the sheer joy of playing. What he lacked were opportunities. Coming to this school on a scholarship would change everything. So I can already imagine the envy that will simmer in Bi O once Jeong Yo's ability is on full display. And with world renowned pianist Hyun Soo potentially training them, rivalry is all but guaranteed. This episode introduced all the main characters and the intriguing dynamics between them. I already adore the sunshine FL, Hong Jae In, our outspoken and outgoing violinist. She's the one to thank for indirectly bringing Jeong Yo to this school. I'm not sure if romance is in the cards, but I already enjoy her tandem with Jeong Yo, even though she has her eyes on Bi O. Then there's the deeply strained relationship within the Kang household. Maestro Kang is clearly bitter that his daughter is a single mother raising Bi O, and that resentment seems to bleed into why he can't bring himself to show the boy even a shred of kindness. And let's not forget the school director, who happens to be Bi O's step grandmother, adding yet another layer of tension to this already complicated web.
#FourHandsTwoSonatas Ep1 Opening act xitter.cf/o3o_rookie/status/2093… So there's the prodigy, blood streaming down his fingers, dripping onto the piano keys, pouring every last ounce of his soul into what might be the greatest performance of his life. And the boy who never even owned a piano? Kidnapped. Shot. Sent crashing into a freezing lake, drowning in a tuxedo of all things. (Drama, I'd be so mad if you k*ll off Lee Jun Young's character) Then the story rewinds, six months back to the very moment they first crossed paths. Here I was expecting gentle coming of age warmth. Maybe a few tears over beautiful music. Instead they hit me with a murder melodrama out of nowhere. 😵‍💫
