my 2c on the opening dj thing is there are (more than) two kinds of dj shows. bass music is like open format where its a sequence of peak moments in a row (some 4x4 is like this too), and some genres are more of a continuous experience. the job of opening is different for each.

so crazy to me when a podcast ad read isn’t ’product name intended message - ad copy - product name intended message’. i always hear ‘don’t you hate it when….. and that’s 10% with code’ and successfully avoid the intended message
