I started Foundation in 2025 and have been building it since. The decision to pause was mine. The thesis is intact and I own it fully.
When the time is right I'll bring it back with the right team and capital. On to the next chapter.
An update on Foundation.
We set out to raise a pre-seed to build this properly, and we could not close it. Market conditions for what we are doing are not there right now, and we would rather stop than half-build a credit product on capital that does not cover doing it right.
So we are pausing.
If you took part in the star.fun sale: the round did not fill, so it did not complete. Every contribution will be refunded.
The thesis has not changed and we may return to it. For now, thank you to everyone who backed us, asked hard questions, and pushed the idea. It meant a lot.

It’s been a long journey, and it’s great to finally see things starting to come together.
1/2 Earlier this year, we started Foundation with one question:
How do we make real yield accessible to anyone onchain?
We began by exploring different RWA products, like Apollo private credit, but most of this market is still hard for everyday users to access.
As we kept speaking with teams across RWAs and DeFi, as well as LPs and users, one category kept pulling our attention: compute.
GPU financing is becoming one of the biggest infrastructure opportunities of this decade. The demand is massive, the market is still early, and the yield is tied to compute usage rather than broader crypto market cycles.
That made compute the right place for us to start.
