‘Dangerously misguided’: the glaring problem with Thomas Heatherwick’s architectural dreamworld theguardian.com/artanddesign…

I genuinely think it's hilarious that Heatherwick has just heard of this Le Corbusier dude & is now building a whole story and around it as if nobody else has heard of him and as if nobody else has ever tackled ideas of design, texture, planning & material. He's so annoying.
‘It was ordinary to be interesting and it was weird and totally unusual to be boring’ -
Thomas Heatherwick reflects on an age of building gone by. - Before the ‘incredible mind shift’ of Modernism. ‘Humanise’ launch, @southbankcentre
It’s amazing how much more spam I’ve been getting on here recently - also noticed how much worse the search function is now. It’s almost like sacking most of your staff means things aren’t run as well, who’d know

One cool thing about twitter not showing headlines in linked articles now is that half the posts on my timeline are like "This really is a new low, utterly despicable" and its just like a photo of a house
It’s my unshakeable belief that all gigs, no matter the size, should have a local support. Give local bands bigger platforms, and allow them to connect to touring bands from out of town too! AND let audiences who might balk at going to smaller gigs see local acts! Everyone wins!
lmao
On July 11th, an enraged Graham "Glinner" Linehan responded to our coverage of his attack on David Tennant by calling Tennant (and us) "abusive groomers".
Linehan has now been fired by his TV agent over the incident.

ALT Graham Linehan @Glinner Only disgraced among the ranks of abusive groomers like yourself and Tennant. Quote Tweet Bad Writing Takes 🖊️🏳️🌈 @BadWritingTakes Disgraced former comedy writer Graham "Glinner" Linehan calls much-loved icon David Tennant "Disgusting" after Tennant is photographed wearing a t-shirt opposing child abusers. Tennant's shirt reads "Leave Trans Kids Alone You Absolute Freaks"
I’m being constantly bombarded with this advert and it’s honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
New issue of The Modernist is out - pick it up to read me banging on about how great synths are (obviously), and see some synth-related photos of mine too! Very excited for this to be out in the world 🎶
The new issue is here and the theme is MUSIC.

Local music scenes aren't nuisances taking up space from property developers — they generate decent jobs in post-industrial areas, and play a key role in sustaining culture in many communities.
