So….the purpose of telling us this story was to tell us you’re black? Because the rest of the story tells us something else….
Chris Rock opens up about one of his CLOSEST FRIENDS spending 19 YEARS in prison for a crime he DIDN’T COMMIT, admitting he had the money to help him get a lawyer but chose NOT TO 😳 He says the case showed him how quickly Black men can be ACCUSED of anything and treated as GUILTY from the start. ā€œI had the means to help him and I didn’t. And I don’t know if we could have got him out or not, but still.ā€

Montgomery's bus boycott ran for 381 days. It needed cars, gas, insurance and drivers — and money that could not be traced to anyone who could be fired for giving it. A cook solved that problem with pound cake. Georgia Gilmore. She had testified in court about being thrown off a bus, and lost her job for it. Dr. King helped her set up a kitchen in her own house. Then she organized women across Montgomery into a fundraising operation she deliberately named the Club From Nowhere — so that when the money arrived at mass meetings, nobody could be identified, targeted, or sacked. They sold sweet potato pies, fried fish and pound cake at beauty shops and on street corners, week after week, for over a year. Her kitchen fed the movement and funded the carpools. King ate at her table. Kennedy ate at her table. The boycott is remembered as speeches and lawsuits. It ran on pie money from women nobody was writing down. Georgia Gilmore’s story is one of the many stories in black history that is never spoken about. Black history is not only about the famous names. It’s also about the people whose courage, sacrifice, and stories were nearly forgotten.

Listen! And I rewatch all of ā€˜em like it’s the first time! 🤣🤣
Every year Jason Statham puts out a movie where he plays Jason Statham... He seeks vengeance for some ill action that's none of his business and gets it. Every year I watch it knowing exactly what will happen. Mutiny done and dusted. See you again next year with the exact same storyline 🤣

I grew up reading the entire book series, watched the tv series as well. This could’ve been called something else because I don’t recall Mary being such a bully and a pick-me. Got me looking for my switch every episode. šŸ˜šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

With the number of infractions this ONE company has committed, just shut the doors. They’re a danger to society.

DNA evidence has now strongly supported what Nancy Alexander has said for decades: her former CPS teacher, whom she identifies as her abuser, sexually assaulted her repeatedly beginning when she was a child and ultimately fathered her child when she was just 15 years old. Despite this clear scientific proof and a 99.79% DNA match linking her daughter to the teacher’s family, Illinois prosecutors say the statute of limitations in place at the time of the assaults prevents them from filing criminal charges today. This is not just a story about one survivor and one alleged predator—it is a story about a legal system that protected a teacher who weaponized his authority and left a Black girl from Chicago’s South Side to carry the trauma alone for more than 40 years. When the evidence is this strong and the harm this severe, the law should serve survivors, not shield abusers. This case demands more than sympathy; it demands serious scrutiny of how statutes of limitations continue to deny justice to victims of childhood sexual abuse. šŸŽ„: @fox32chicago
