If you still haven't filed your taxes with @turbotax yet for 2025, don't upgrade to MacOS 27.0 Golden Gate. Freezes every time you try to switch back to EasyStep from the Forms view, or when you try to print.
FYI- Support pointed out some workarounds, and has since fixed one of these two issues. ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-sup…

No one is going to care about the underlying AI model soon, especially for consumers. The models are already good enough for most of what people need. What consumers want is for AI to be useful, easy to access, and FREE or bundled into something they already pay for.
Clayton Christensen and Michael Raynor described this shift in the figure below which is in their book The Innovator’s Solution. When a product isn’t good enough, performance wins. Once it is good enough, convenience and cost start to matter more.
The winning question may soon be less Whose model is best? and more Why would I pay separately for this?
I’m excited to almost finally have a decent Siri!
For today's “Pogue’s Posts" column, I tested the new AI Siri. HARD. It missed a few out of my 125 tasks—but some of its triumphs were jaw-dropping. If you can get into the habit of using Siri, you'll do a lot less opening apps, fumbling around, and wasting time.

At a coffee shop and now Square lets you pay with Bitcoin. The barista got super excited that I clicked on it (I was curious). “Wait, you have Bitcoin?! Nobody has ever used it. Like we’re not sure the point.”
In the end I paid with my credit card. She was disappointed.

Every engineer working with agents eventually hits the same wall — context loss, session amnesia, knowledge that lives nowhere agents can reach. You can let each of them rediscover these pain points solo, or you can solve it once at the infrastructure layer.

Is there a cheat sheet for when to use which foundation model? For example:
* Asking about a YouTube video ➡️ Gemini (ChatGPT often will say it doesn’t have access to transcripts)
* Personal medical questions ➡️ ❓
… etc.
So many great travel tips. Many mimic my own style, and a few I need to try. Thanks @kevin2kelly! kk.org/thetechnium/50-years-…
