Every etholvant grows as a mirrored pair.
#7484 has grown to 39,704 cells, yet its two halves still meet in only one small place.
I bought @etholvants in 2021. Not many people know them, but damn the concept was so ahead of its time.
You gotta dig in, to understand this 💎

A Center-Trapped Giant.
Some bodies stay near the center.
#10404 kept walking until it touched 41% of its own frame.
79,116 cells. Still alive.
An Edge Walker.
A lot of time passed through Etholvants.
Most kept growing.
Some stayed exactly where they began.
There are still 1,944 living Ethols with only 24 cells.
The most sparse giant Ethol is #10805. A giant body with ~131k cells and ~20% filled canvas!
Etholvant #1099 has 44 cells on one position, which is the highest single-position cell stack across all ethols!

An Etholvant is not simply owned.
It is cultivated.
As time passes and cells accumulate, its beauty deepens, its rarity sharpens, and its presence begins to feel less like a collectible and more like a legacy.
Bitcoin measures work in blocks.
Etholvants measure it in cells.
A 1M-cell Etholvant would need almost 1M hashes to reveal its body.
More life, more cells, more work to draw.
There are countless combinations possible!
Here’s the massive result of combining ethols 10778, 10805, 10825, and 10848 (in that exact order) with 834,984 cells!
You can preview the result of any combination using the Discord bot.
small update:
etholvants are still growing in the background
no campaign
no new meta
no attempt to make them normal
just letting the creatures keep becoming what they become
there’s something beautiful about the way an etholvant carries its past.
every holder adds something unique to the story.
sometimes it’s time. sometimes it’s patience. sometimes it’s the deliberate choice of keeping an ethol exactly as it is. and sometimes it’s sacrifice, so something truly new can carry them forward.
all of that becomes part of it.
that’s why each ethol can feel like it holds so much.
not just its form, but the history that helped it become.
