Attackers need to be humble with their ransom demands.
15million is an insane request that will never get paid, esp cause all of us are Indonesians and Indians on our data.
Also if your data is something niche like a full casino database that the casino is more inclined to want to buy to protect their Intellectual Property, you need to not post online and contact them directly. Once you post online you create FUD and do the PR damage already and reduce your leverage/ the value of your material.
For all future casino extorters please hit my line I will serve as CEO (Chief Extorting Officer) requiring a generous % of proceeds.
Special discount to those who want to hit casinos I don’t like already.
I might host a paid seminar.
Side note I have a couple nukes dropping on some casinos soon.
Replying to @RichMarketingHQ
During the attack, we didn't find any evidence to suggest that this data has been extracted from our services, only that withdrawal requests had been added to the database to initiate withdrawals across multiple accounts that we subsequently remediated after the attack.
We will check if those sample accounts are indeed real but if they are we suspect they are a sample out of a couple hundred of accounts, that were used as sample to see where they could withdraw the funds from the $3m exploit there, after the attack we shut down our server in order for user data to stay safe.
Regarding the other points
- the drain of the wallets itself was $3mln but they also took money from our private key systems of around a million which would make it around $4.2mln which indicates that this group or person is most likely the attacker
- The provably fair mention is complete hot air, I would happily chat about that
- The 15mln number is off based on how many users we actually have
Our current guess is that they have a couple hundred of accounts and that is if the data is actually real & they try to use these as leverage in order to act like they have a smoking gun in the hopes for them to extract more money out of us.
Will give an update shortly but if indeed those sample accounts got fetched that is still pretty bad in terms of how close they got but it's by far not as bad as the attacker claims it to be.
The bubble is certainly popping as brands realize there’s more value in a lot of pure affiliates / VIP affiliates as opposed to small and mid tier streamers.
2 other things that have occurred are affiliates beginning to stream to extract more payment when their streaming brings little to no value in terms of extra acquisitions and brand recognition compared to their raw affiliate work.
And a carousel of fraud and inflated stats from even some of the bigger streamers, funding multiple accounts, BJ syndicates, opposite betting operations, etch’s
Lastly — I think the market inflation has been intentional by some bigger players to price out new competitors, it’s no different than Amazon running at a loss initially for several years to price out other bookstores.
Stake makes revenue is 40m+ a week, most crypto casinos in the 7-20 range don’t have a 40m warchest all in.
It’s a simple math problem until these smaller cockroach casinos are mutilated.
💀 Had a spicy convo last night in a private chat with streamer managers from some of the biggest casinos in the space. Everyone is finally saying it out loud. The streaming market is COOKED.
Creators with mid stats are asking for $50-200k in monthly fixed, and the pitch is always the same, "trust me bro, my community is massive." In reality it's the same 3 high rollers following the streamer from casino to casino. The brand pays the deal, and next month the whales leave with him. For $100k you can sign solid sports and IRL guys who will bring THOUSANDS of low/mid players through organic traffic, and those players will actually pay the deal back over time.
If you're getting paid $100k a month, you're not just a creator making content anymore. That's serious money, and at that point you have to see yourself as an affiliate, as someone who drives traffic to the casino. You're a business. You can't take that kind of money, give the casino zero guarantees and just sit on the fixed. Any agency or media buying team works with budgets too, but they have teams, they give guarantees, and most of their money comes from RS because they bring quality players. Their fixed usually covers operating costs or/and goes straight into the marketing budget to bring those players in. It should work the same way with streamers.
And the whole "I won't take NGR share because I don't want to make money off my players losing" thing is the dumbest excuse in the industry. Bro, the casino pays you out of what players lose. You're in gambling. Over the long run the casino is always up, that's just how it works. You're already promoting something where the player is expected to lose. It's entertainment and fun, not a way to make money. You don't value your audience, you just want to finesse the casino because your traffic is bad and that's the only argument you've got.
Need a raw balance and only play with real money? No problem. Here's your fixed, use it however you want. Play with it on stream, invest in a team, buy extra traffic sources that help you grow as a media personality and bring in players. If you're getting $100k a month, you have to be worth $100k a month, not just ride the hype and grab the bag because the market lets you.
Instead a lot of them abuse the casino and don't even hide it. Leaderboards are the best example. The casino sponsors the LB, the streamer pays his friends and mods out of the deal money, they climb to the top, take the prizes, pump the wager numbers, and the streamer looks like he's killing it. The casino is basically paying for fake activity.
The good creators already get it. They ask for RS first, some even take less fixed to get a better RS, because they know their players are real and they want to stay longer than one contract.
But this is on us too. Casinos and managers pushed these prices up because they can't do the payback math, they've got KPIs and budgets to spend, and I'm pretty sure some of them are getting kickbacks from the same streamers they sign. One casino can't fix this alone. Lower your offers and the next site signs the guy for the same money. It only changes when the big brands stop feeding it, with RS as the core of every deal, LBs built around real players and fixed fees that match the numbers.
Streamers need to calm their appetite. Managers need to learn the math. And all of us need to think about this now, before the snowball eats the whole space.
Hitmen getting streamer salaries now.
In my day you it was 5k in a Brown envelope to some Somalians from Jane and Finch or some Surrey East Indians.
