Thank you Parallel Web System to provide such a meaningful data point~
Yes, MiniMax M3.1 Flash is now #1 on search capabilities leaderboard for efficiency. And it's fast~
MiniMax M3.1 Flash is now #1 on our search capabilities leaderboard for efficiency.
It delivers web research performance with Parallel Search similar to DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (1017) at ~3x lower cost.

who benchmarks the benchmarkers?
a good eval is:
- ephemeral. it snapshots a moment in time and capabilities.
- grounded. it directly measures performance on tasks and data you care about.
- specific. it operates on the desired results and not some proxy of them.
take notes!
Typesafe's CEO @CompleteSkeptic does not trust public benchmarks.
Neither do I, Diogo.
So @p0 and I wrote a blog evaluating 8 decision models on real company training datasets we have personally audited and iterated on.
For what it's worth though, Jev is still on top 👑

NEW: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (1017) is the highest-performing open model we've measured.
It's the first to crack the top 10 on the Search Capability Leaderboard across open- and closed-source models.
🚀 DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is here!
Stronger benchmark performance, faster task completion, and shorter outputs than the previous version—a Pareto improvement in performance and cost. Now live on our website, app, and API.
🛠️ Optimized for @DeepSeekHarness, Tencent CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, and more. Upgrade to DeepSeek Harness v0.2.1-rc.1 or later for the best experience with the new model.

search and browsing are better together
most agents need to both read + write to the web, esp with the rise of personal agents
starting today @p0 is the default search provider for
@browserbase, powering their Search API and Agents
Browserbase Search is now powered by Parallel (@p0) as the default search provider.
Parallel Fast returns sub-second results when speed matters. Parallel Advanced goes deeper for multi-step research when quality matters most.

I found 1 company since 2020 backed by all four of @sequoia, @IndexVentures, @kleinerperkins, @khoslaventures
that is closing the loop for knowledge work by giving high quality web infrastructure to AI models 🚀🤖
joined them @p0 🧡

most new grads in series a/b startups don’t understand their options contract
1. post-termination exercise period = need to put up lots of money before you leave your startup for your next thing. leaving_cost = num_options*strike + income_tax_rate*(current_fmv - strike)
2. you pay income tax or AMT on 409a valuation - strike price
you pay capital gains tax on sale price - 409a valuation. and the faster the company grows, the faster the 409a grows
talk to someone who’s left a startup before you sign your offer! (not another new grad!)

We've been testing the Decisions API for over a week. One of the coolest things was how many use cases the team found that just weren't practical before. We had to go back to every team and ask: what would you build with frontier intelligence at the cost of a tiny, tuned classifier?
It was near-perfect at filtering low-quality pages and hit 88.8% AUPRC on page change classification. Prompt tuning helped push even more performance out of the model
Excited to continue building!

can the web help AI make better predictions from wearable data?
rabbitholed this week after reading @Meta’s WearableQA paper.
tested an LLM with and without @p0 search + extract and saw a meaningful lift in questions re: heart/metabolic health and inflammatory response with web data included!
