Choppin and weldin some BIG TOOB today
Team is building a rotor test stand with a 6 axis load cell to get high fidelity data on our rotors
Some exciting tests coming up 👀
Our cap table is STACKED!!! 🔥
Takes a village to build a startup. Humbled and honored by the people I get to work with.
America is about to move an extraordinary amount of steel and machinery.
We’re backing the team building the robotic heavy-lift aircraft to put it there.
Welcome @_dynamo_air to @BlackwingVC.

You know those HUGE high voltage electric towers out in the middle of nowhere?
This is how they get built
A heavy lift helicopter, usually a Chinook or SkyCrane, picks up and moves each section in to place while a crew grabs it while it’s swinging in the air and guide it in to place and fasten it down, while the pilot is looking out the window down a 100ft line trying to keep the aircraft from crashing and stable
Customers pay anywhere from $250K PER DAY for helicopters to do this work
Customers spend this, because it’s still cheaper than building a road and using cranes
We did about 800 miles of new transmission line last year. DOE says we need to be at 5,000 miles per year to keep up with demand…
There already aren’t enough helicopters or pilots to keep up with current demand… nowhere near enough to support growth
Hopefully we can help :)
PSA you can just get a CB radio and yell at all the truckers going under the speed limit in the left lane

Retiring our V1 Home Depot special enclosures
Helicopter fun fact
Some of the bigger helos, like the CH-53, have canted tail rotors and pylons to create extra lift to offset aftward CG
CH-53 tail is canted by 20 degrees and creates about 2,000lbs of extra lift
P.S. Helicopters are insane
From the front lines:
The US built 888 miles of high-voltage line in 2024. DOE says we need 5,000/yr to meet demand.
When out in BFE, heavy grid stuff like towers, transformers, line, and equipment gets moved and placed by helicopter. Geography, time, and economics prohibit trucks and cranes. Helicopters are the only option.
There’s already not enough helicopters or pilots to meet last year’s demand… and nowhere near the amount to hit DOE’s target grid buildout. There’s less pilots every year. Less helicopters every year. And the only real supply are gov auctions and veterans.
This is where Dynamo will start. We believe it is vital to help the west build a grid for the next century. If we don’t all want to be speaking mandarin in 10 years, this is an industrial race we must win.

Let’s get it 🇺🇸 🦅 🔥
Dynamo ISN’T a drone company
Dynamo ISN’T an aerospace company
Dynamo IS a company that helps humans move heavy things in difficult places and urgent timelines, so civilization gets repaired and built faster, safer, and cheaper
Drones are the best way to do that today
Beauties, hot off the mill
These are interfaces that will connect our truss airframe to the box tube subassemblies of powertrain / batteries / rotor system
