This is a hiring post We’re looking for someone to build Truman World with us No resumes. No normal interview. Instead, we’re running the Autonomous World Quest — a small build challenge designed to find someone who can make a digital world actually feel alive The challenge Build a small first-person 3D world where things continue to act, remember, interact, and change — even when the player does nothing. Use whatever tools you want: Codex, Claude Code, Unity, Unreal, Three.js, or anything else. Your world should include: -first-person movement -autonomous entities with goals -persistent memory / world state -interactions between entities -at least one visible emergent event -graceful fallback behavior when AI is unavailable This is not an asset-counting contest. We don’t care how big the map is or how polished the models are. We care about whether you can make a small world feel alive. How it works -Share something you’ve already built -We’ll shortlist up to 5 builders -Shortlisted builders will receive the same starter world and challenge brief -Every invited finalist who completes the challenge will receive $500, whether or not we hire them -The strongest candidate may join us to build Truman World You keep ownership of everything you submit.
