Incentives matter!
Derivatives have a purpose.
Speculation has a purpose.
Mike Akins of @etfAction explains to @NateGeraci that the problem isn't speculation existing.
It's regulators actively incentivizing it over productive investment.

$SPCX levered ETFs have seen over $1B in cumulative flows since inception but have lost nearly 60% of that as the price has continued to crater. Conversely, inverse ETFs have only seen $50M in flows but now have $250M in AUM.
Crazy stuff!

When asked whether candidates he has endorsed are fully vetted, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) says “there are hundreds of candidates – I don’t know who has been ‘fully vetted.’”
“The candidates that we are supporting are standing up for the working class of this country,” he says. “I think the candidates I and other progressives are supporting are generating enormous grassroots excitement and enthusiasm.”
Couple of interesting $DRAM charts. Despite being up 100% since inception, AUM & flows are essentially the same. Stated another way, in aggregate the fund has created no shareholder value.
Timing matters!
On a flight to Chicago and we are going to land 5 to 10 minutes late. Flight attendants just asked everyone who is not connecting to stay in their seats while those who have connections deplane. Would love to know everyone who travels frequently takes on this?

#kalshi as with all #PredictionMarkets is In a regulatory loophole within an extremely heavily taxed and excessively regulated industry that is gambling no matter what anyone calls it. It is as old as humanity and has driven people to enslave their families and descendents in long ago times. Worse, there is nothing preventing cheating in prediction markets. Cheating, the only activity as old as gambling, with the same power to drive humans to extremes. So Kalshi presents the ability to gamble and cheat, and the loophole allows all of it in every state. So of course it is number 1 by a mile and will keep growing as long as society steps aside and lets these horrific base human weaknesses run roughshod over all and any logical, moral and decent challenge.
#Cryptocurrency problem in a nutshell:
New money always comes in at the top. Arguably w/out the flows price can't go up b/c it's not like they have earnings beats but that's beside the point...
How many times can investors be expected to come back to the well?

Note that p/s is NTM so 32% sales growth is priced in. Either analysts are grossly underestimating sales growth or the recent doubling in chip stocks is unsustainable.
