When household support is limited, following a kidney-friendly diet can become much harder.
Poor family support means less meal planning, shopping, cooking and thus more convenience foods, emotional eating and difficulty sticking to dietary goals.
Diets for kidney health are hard to follow, especially when fatigue, limited mobility, and treatment schedules get in the way. #ASNKidney360 study shows that household support can make the difference between adherence and reliance on convenience foods. kidney.pub/KID1326

Menopause research has historically been underfunded and understudied, despite its enormous impact on half of the human population and nearly 40% of a woman’s lifespan.
Researchers in a new #ScienceReview argue that menopause research needs a major rethink, shifting from a one-size-fits-all view of the transition to a precision medicine approach that accounts for differences in symptoms, timing, genetics and hormone treatments.

"TESCREAL" is just a name for the dominant, orthodox Silicon Valley worldview—which simultaneously highlights a particular intellectual history that explains what the SV worldview is and where it came from. A “TESCREAList” is just someone who accepts this worldview.

Externalizing the costs (and risks) while privatizing the profits is a very old tale.

@IanCopeland5 crack isn't the cause of antivaxxers. Eventually one will come to their senses after smoking crack, but one doesn't come down from being an unintelligent, gullible, and uneducated conspiracy theorist.

No evidence of vaccines contributing to autism risk.
At some point, antivaxers are going to have to put the crack pipe down and wake up...

By 70, about 40% of men have lost the Y chromosome in a chunk of their blood cells (mLOY). Roughly 20% lose it in at least a tenth of those cells. mLOY predicts higher risk of heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's, and nobody measures it. I'd love to see mLOY in longevity panels, it's already cheap to assay.
