This post unexpectedly got a lot of replies so here’s an update on the situation! After 2 days of back and forth with customer support, they did not answer any of my questions (like why my package got rejected) and just kept asking me to provide my own warehouse address so I gave up on looking for alternative solutions or asking for answers (since you guys in the replies had an answer for me faster than they did) I found a warehouse, sent them the address and the issue is finally resolved 🥹🙏 I will need to pay extra shipping to the new warehouse and wait longer for my order to be reshipped and then shipped again by the warehouse, but my package is safe and should slowly be on its way to me again…! PSA for anyone using taobao from overseas to pre-order merch: THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU! If the warehouse they allocate for you shuts down or relocates while your order is processing, your package will be returned and you will need to have a different warehouse address ready to have your package reshipped. Be careful and keep an eye out for shipping updates on your orders! Also understand that this is a risk that might happen before placing an order on taobao; use a proxy or a local vendor for your pre-orders if you’re paranoid because dealing with taobao customer support as a non-Chinese speaker will be a nightmare. I only survived because I at least know some Chinese 🫡
