They had the compute. They just didn’t have users back then lol
Anyways limiting user acquisition is better than diluting the experience for current ones (like how Claude does)
To make sure our current users have an incredible experience and continued access to Astra, we are going to pause subscriptions to our $200 Pro plan. These put the most strain on our systems and we wanted to take the smallest step that allows us to continue giving the broadest access possible. All other plans and the api remain available.
There is no impact to existing accounts and we are working on adding more capacity as fast as we can. Thanks!
All AI researchers know deep inside that they’re enabling a massacre by max pacing development. It will be in the next 1-2 decades.
Eradicating cancer by eradicating all humans probably?
There is a rumor that Anthropic has discovered a non-invasive treatment to totally eradicate all cancers in humans, dogs and cats. It has a 100% success rate.
They plan to announce it at their IPO.
They are finalizing the final proofs and hope that no other competitor is capable of spending a bunch of compute and solve it before their finalized proof.
Wait what
The whole “20x” in Claude’s pricing is so misleading.
The $100 plan says 5x Pro limits, while the $200 plan says 20x Pro limits. That makes it sound like you’re getting 4x the usage.
But the 20x applies only to the 5-hour usage window. The weekly limit is basically just 2x the $100 plan.
I spent way too much time digging through the internet and Reddit to figure this out. They could’ve just stated the limits directly instead of marketing it as “20x.”
That alone would’ve saved me hours of confusion.
Nice one

I’d say after AI everything looks pretty fragile to me
i feel like Aave has lost so much growth just because of that kelp dao incident
most crypto guys we all used to farm stables onchain even during the bear market
but the current state is very different. after the kelp dao incident, i don’t even feel comfortable putting a single dollar into aave
before the incident. used to put all stables into aave without even thinking twice
the 10/10 crash event was nothing compared to that $200m bad debt incident for aave.
Those who open the gate to agents will become more popular, but not necessarily survive. In many cases, it’ll just accelerate their death.
It’s going to get chaotic. Eventually, we’ll have thousands of companies, all doing the same thing, with very short lifespans.
My rough prediction here is there's going to be two types of companies:
1. Companies that are ok with basically being an API - they expose an MCP, skills, embrace your agents
2. Companies that charge a ton for API access, try to get you using their own agents,
Companies will gravitate to #2 because being API only is scary / feels very replaceable opening opportunities for #1 companies to replace them because they're more agent native
I don't have a good answer for what the moat is for #1 companies but it's how I want to be using software
Wish I was comfortable doing this in public but can’t even do it in private comfortably lol
~90% of my text-based computer work is now done with my voice
communications like directing my agents, email, slack, telegram, twitter
it's been a huge boost in my productivity and feels freeing. and I'm still relatively new to @WisprFlow, just started using it ~1 month ago
when computer use is fast enough, I hope to use it to navigate, but for now I'm just using it for text input
and I've become comfortable using it in public places, like the coffee shop. the tech is really good so you don't have to be loud
A few days ago, I went to show a friend my art collection on @foundation and realized they had shut down.
Honestly, this is ridiculous.
After making so much money from artists and collectors, the least they could have done was keep a read-only version of the platform.
