[NEWS] I'm ecstatic to finally share what I've been working on for the past year: Predictive Test Selection
gradle.com/press-media/devel…
This is inspired by internal systems at @fb_engineering and other SV companies— we want everyone to have awesome testing infrastructure like this!
I’m crushed I’m not local to support you today @TwitterBoulder peeps. 💔 DM me if I can do anything or if you want to chat.
@ericwryan I want to donate $100 to this shindig. Would you please HMU with your pref payment app? 🦄
Alright @TwitterBoulder fam (current, former, and ex-Gnip folks too).
Swing by Bohemian Biergarten today bet 4-6pm, and I’ll buy you a beer.
Tough day. But if you’re up for connecting with others, come down and let’s celebrate this community that transcends any job or company.
Excited for the #DPESummit this week!
If you’re there, come and say “hi”! My talk is Thursday @ 10. dpesummit.com/speakers/eric-…
Nov 2: I will be presenting Foundations of Predictive Test Selection at the DPE Summit dpesummit.com/speakers/eric-…
I hope you will find the discussion about the tradeoffs and strategies to measurably improve developer productivity insightful.
The Pug does not look spry, but I call him Hopkins because his treat-catching skills rival the greatest pass-catchers.
ML training reproducibility note: make sure variable order is consistent between runs (actual names don't matter)!
I haven't found an elegant way of automatically verifying this. Have you folks?

A lot of basic stuff seems to be obviously missing in core Bazel, and a lot of partially-baked custom rules strewn throughout GitHub.
It's mostly workable if one is willing to spend a ton of time.
BTW, I'm not making a comparison to Gradle here; if I thought Gradle was the right tool we'd just use it.
@bazelbuild team: please consider this small PR which I hope will save future folks some time with test reporting: github.com/bazelbuild/bazel/…
Exercising pragmatic heresy today by exploring @bazelbuild for my next project. Grab your 🍿
ℹ️ We've improved code change detection for Predictive Test Selection. Gradle Enterprise customers who upgrade should save 0-30% more testing time using the latest patch release.
Yo. So, I’m an @Avalanche hockey fanatic.
I’m crazy excited about them playing in the Stanley Cup Final.
My tweets will return to normalish, quirky tech in 2 weeks.
Until then: Let’s GOOO Avs! #FindAWay
Feeling frisky today, and I’ve made a rash decision: the next version of @stacktracejs will drop support for IE8 and lower.
Predictive Test Selection now supports custom Gradle Test tasks as of the latest patch release 2022.2.3.
