The sickening stories keeping coming inā¦š¢š¢š¢
SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub.
Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out youāre going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ā¾ļøšš
The excitement. The anticipation. The memories youāre already imagining making.
Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently canāt deliver.
Thatās exactly what weāre dealing with right now.
We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation.
Everything was supposed to be set.
Then suddenly, StubHub tells us theyāre āsearching for replacement optionsā because they canāt provide the tickets we purchased.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
How does a company accept someoneās hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they canāt fulfill it?!
And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets.
THIS ISNāT ABOUT THE MONEY.
Itās about the experience. Itās about the memories. Itās about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball.
Look at the first picture. Thatās the disappointment youāre creating, StubHub.
A refund doesnāt replace that moment.
And hereās what really bothers meā¦
StubHub advertises a āFanProtect Guaranteeā and tells customers their orders are ā100% guaranteed.ā
Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?!
Because from where weāre sitting, that guarantee doesnāt feel worth much when you canāt deliver the tickets you sold us.
We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee.
Now itās time for StubHub to make it right.
We arenāt asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost.
Stubhubā¦DO BETTER.
Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission.

āIn Himā we live and move (Acts 17:28).
āIn Himā we have redemption (Eph 1:7).
āIn Himā we are heirs (Eph 1:11).
āIn Himā we were sealed (Eph 1:13).
āIn Himā we are built together (Eph 2:22).
āIn Himā we have boldness (Eph 3:12).
We are nothing without Christ.

Color the ordinary black-and-white activities of your daily life with prayer.
While washing your hands or taking a drink: āThank you, dear Father, for clean water.ā
While getting dressed: āClothe me in your righteousness, O Christ.ā
While talking with a friend or stranger, silently pray: āLord, bless and keep them.ā
And, in all circumstances, āLord have mercyā or āJesus, help me.ā
As a general rule, shorter prayers prayed more often are to be preferred over longer prayers prayed less often.
Punctuating your walking, talking, working, and other plain activities with brief prayers is a discipline worthy of fostering and encouraging.
The fact they lost in the 4Q the week prior shouldāve been enough to teach them to not celebrate before the game was over. Theyāre fighting a legacy of lost late leads & one-score losses. They need to play like the game is 5 quarters long, not 3.
Context is everything. Doing this in a winner-takes-all type of playoff game⦠completely understandable & appropriate. Do this in a regular season game where trailing 19-2, not appropriate at all.

Changed colors and added connections to the missing OT books.
Asking @crossway again for when an excerpt or image will be made available for the next Heirloom bibles. Because if the layout is what I'm hoping for, I'll go ahead and preorder!
āThe iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.ā Proverbs 5:22
Yep! Have experienced exactly this.šš¼
Pastor, some reasonable considerations when considering prospective members:
1. If they joined and left multiple churches within a handful of years, your church likely wonāt be any different.
2. If they speak disparagingly about prior church leaders to you, they will eventually speak the same about you.
Exceptions exist, of course. Sometimes they do come from bad churches with bad leaders.
But if you always think, āYeah, but our church is different, and Iām different,ā then youāll probably deceive yourself into disappointment.
My point: prior to bringing them into membership, talk to their prior church(es). Kindly ask hard and challenging questions. Push into uncomfortable places.
If they donāt want to go there and leave, so be it. You may have guarded your church from painful conflict or discipline.
Better to detonate those grenades on this side of the membership process than a year or two or three on the other side when thereās a higher risk of shrapnel taking others out with them.

If anyone is feeling inclined to help a new church plant (Cross + Crown) in Waxahachie, TX buy an older, 10,000 sq ft, dilapidated, historic church building two blocks from downtown for $1,000,000 (and also to help with the renovation), the Lord hath need of it! Weāre 6 mo into our plant with already more than 100+ folks and growing as a gospel presence. Letās keep this building beautiful and breathe fresh life into it!

I created two indexes of religious behavior.
One is private acts like reading holy texts, reading devotionals, watching services online.
The other is social acts like attending in person worship, attending small groups, and speaking to others about religion.
No matter how high one scores on the private dimension, happiness doesn't change at all.
But as social religious behavior increases, so does self-reported happiness.
That is NOT what Proverbs 30:8 is communicating a.co/d/0fa87QiR
Anyone have an extra $365 lying around they want to just give me?

Dear @Apple, Iowa increased the speed limit of its two-lane highways from 55 to 60. So you will want to get that changed in Apple Maps.
