unsure of how much I’ll be there (or here). I definitely don’t want to participate in anything Elon-related, and it all feels less fun anyway

Imagine thinking that Harris's campaign was about "pronouns and purity." You would have to have ignored every single ad, speech, rally, etc. Too much of our pundit class just openly hates trans and non-binary people.

Replying to @ChrisMurphyCT
6/ We don't listen enough; we tell people what's good for them. And when progressives like Bernie aggressively go after the elites that hold people down, they are shunned as dangerous populists. Why? Maybe because true economic populism is bad for our high-income base. 😬

If you call yourself a leftist or progressive and are using this moment to throw queer people under the bus then stop calling yourself that

When one week you call someone an existential threat to democracy, and the next week you’re ready to work with them, it’s hard to believe you have any convictions whatsoever.

Apparently we’ve learned nothing about aggregate statistics obscure how working class people experience the economy. So yes, the wreckage of 50 years of neoliberalism:

While liberal wonks and the most unlikeable Democrats in the House obsess over high school sports Trump is proposing a federal ban on gender identity recognition. Nasty as shit if you ask me

I suspect that Pennsylvania is going to go the way of Ohio…from a statewide perspective, a solidly red state.

they should hold some sort of national-level test to see if Republicans will vote with Republicans

who was everyone’s favorite first Trump admin character? I was first a fan of Wilbur Ross because he reminded me of the Six Flags dancing guy, but later became a Mnuchin head because his wife had so many funny antics and he prevented an invasion of Venezuela

nobody did this. Harris described herself as a cop and Biden gave the police more money
“It turns out, running on these extraordinarily niche issues like gender fluidity or defunding the police don't actually matter—or frankly, feel profoundly out of touch—to ordinary Americans.” @BariWeiss on why Democrats lost so badly.

it’s true that Democrats sound out of touch to ordinary Americans, but jfc, not for this

what should the democrats do differently? for answers we’re looking to one strategist who was personally responsible for their defeat, and a conservative who wants them to lose again
