BlindPay has received approval for its first U.S. state Money Transmitter License (MTL).
With 25 MTL applications submitted across the United States, this marks an important step in our long-term U.S. expansion.
Compliance has been part of our foundation from day one. This approval reflects months of preparation, regulatory engagement, and work across our team to build trusted global payment infrastructure.
Our focus now is on progressing the remaining applications and continuing to strengthen our compliance program as we grow.

Curtindo usar Hermes
-Chequei o que o Claude tá fazendo
-Limpei minha caixa de email

there's a lesson in here
we’ve been visiting some @BlindPay customers in Paraguay this week
first time here
you can read about a market all day but actually being here and seeing how money moves makes a huge difference
people are buying products with:
> USDT
> Pix
> Guaraní
> US Dollars
with multiple currencies accepted in the same store
Paraguay has become a major commerce and redistribution hub for the region, especially for Brazil
the country imported almost $17B worth of goods in 2025
and you can actually feel that scale on the ground
it honestly feels like a mini New York for Latin America (this photo looks like Times Square lol)
there’s advertising everywhere, stores packed at 8am and people from all over Latin America buying products
and there are almost two different worlds here:
> smaller local stores
> huge shopping centers with global luxury brands
there’s basically something for every kind of customer
seeing this in person changes how you think about building financial infrastructure for Latin America
really excited for the next chapters here!
should we create a BlindPay Developer Associate program?
customers keep asking us:
“do you know any developers who can help integrate BlindPay?”
and we almost always recommend the same developer
he’s integrated BlindPay for multiple customers, knows the API extremely well and constantly gives us feedback on how to improve the DX
this is already happening organically, so the idea is simple:
> train developers on BlindPay
> certify the ones who know the product deeply
> connect them with customers
> let them make money from our ecosystem
we also just hired an AI engineer who built a working neobank on top of BlindPay in only 3 prompts
we’re now improving the docs for a world where both developers and agents should be able to go from idea to
working financial product as fast as possible
the best developer ecosystems create value for everyone building on top of them
we’ve been working on a complete redesign of @BlindPay for the past few weeks
there are 3 main reasons why
> a lot of what we built made sense for who we were in 2024
our first brand, copy, website, skeuomorphism style, the visual language, all of it reflected what we were building at the beginning
but BlindPay is a very different company today
> the brand no longer reflects what we want to build over the next 10 years
we’re building something much bigger than what we started with
and the brand needs to represent where we’re going, not where we came from
> design is becoming way too easy to copy
we’ve already seen competitors copy parts of what we built
and now with AI, almost anything can be recreated in minutes
so this time we want to build something completely different
a visual language that feels uniquely ours
a visual identity and website with so much craft, detail and personality that they become much harder to copy
AI is making it easier for everyone to build the same things
we want to go in the opposite direction
we also teamed up with two incredible creatives to help bring this new version of to life
I recently saw a neobank founder posting about how to "bypass" bank account compliance program
I’ve seen hundreds of fintechs die because of fraud
and it reminded me of something that happened to us during YC
@BlindPay was scaling when we faced our first fraud attempt
that was the moment i realized compliance needed to become a much bigger priority for us
I’m not a compliance guy
but since then, i’ve spent a lot of time studying:
>regulation
>risk
>controls
>AML
>fraud
not because i wanted to become a compliance expert
but because if you’re building a company that moves money, you need to understand the risks that come with it
learning this early was one of the most important things that allowed BlindPay to scale safely
today at BlindPay:
>KYC is completed within 30 minutes
>KYB is completed within 1 day
>our average KYB review is 21 hours
and we’re now working to bring that down to 8 hours
compliance doesn’t slow down a fintech
weak compliance does
the goal isn’t to remove compliance so you can move faster
it’s to build compliance so well that you can move fast without putting the entire operation at risk

For a longe time our burn rate was related to compliance/regulatory
Now we're spending more on design than ever
Stay tuned

My hottest take is that brand marketing is going to be THE major differentiator and one of the most prized assets for a company going forward.
And, I’m not talking about launch videos or pouring money primarily for “aesthetics” simply to pump the valuation. You still need retention before attention.
I’m talking about thinking through what a company stands for and understanding the “vibe” of what’s happening in the market. Being relentless on the long term goal while also thinking through how to showcase the company in the short term. And doing it every week.
Especially if you think agents become the primary user for most products, then to get the attention of a rapidly attention deficit audience (aka humans) you’ll need to stand out consistently in how you present the company.
These folks primary have been given tier 2 roles and passed up for CMOs many many times. I think this will finally invert in the next 10 years where you’ll hire these folks as cofounders or at least give them a big seat at the table.
Normally the design centric CEO tends to be this, but those are rare and you’ll need to learn how to hire for this role. Just like a good product marketer, these are exceptionally rare so you have one hold them close!!
nesse final de semana, nos reunimos para discutir os próximos passos da bolha dev, em breve deve sair um patch novo
