Code-first products present an unreasonably effective interface to AI models, because AIs excel at generating the very code these products run on.
Today's release of Rill 0.41 introduces a related, powerful side effect of our BI-as-code philosophy: You can now create an operational dashboard from any data source with just one click, thanks to an integration with GPT-3.5 Turbo.

At the core of Rill dashboards are SQL aggregate expressions, which define metrics (like revenue, MAU, or ARPU) over a set of dimensions (geography, age cohort, or device type).
Given a prompt that includes the columns of a data source, GPT-3.5 readily generates SQL & YAML code for a list of relevant metrics and dimensions, along with informative labels, that underpin Rill dashboards.
Incorporating code generation into development environments like Rill Developer is not a gimmick, but a true productivity accelerator, and we're confident it will further speed up the data to dashboard journey for our users.

We built an interactive exploratory dashboard of the @duckdb code repository on Github... powered by @duckdb :).
Amazing to see the project's acceleration, almost 300 committers have made 29k+ commits, with @mraasveldt @Thijsbruineman, (naturally) @hfmuehleisen, @lnkuiper, and @holanda_pe leading the pack.

Github analytics is the first use case I’ve used Rill for internally. I'm pretty hooked on it. The dashboard mentioned is a great way to explore a codebase, find code churn, and spot complexity.
Learn how to build your own GitHub analytics dashboard in minutes with Rill. In this blog, @ericpgreen2 provides examples of the metrics and insights you can gain. The result is a live, interactive dashboard that offers insights into your engineering org.

MIND THE GAP: US Federal Debt (blue) v. US Federal Debt held by Foreign & Int'l Investors.
The question is not "Will it get funded?"
The question is "Can it get funded (w/o Fed help) at a rate that won't touch off a US govt (& global) debt doom loop?"
A: Not if DXY is rising.

"SQL + YAML = dashboard" officially launched today by @rilldata. A BI-as-code stack controllable via git, powered by @duckdb. Ask and ye shall receive @josh_wills.

While I wait for @TopcoatData to be open-sourced, what is my best declarative, SQL+yaml way of creating a simple dashboard against DuckDB? @RillData do y’all have a way to help me out here?
I'm subscribing to @LukeGromen's views on USD inflation: CPI >10% for multiple years is a real possibility.
This long-term debt cycle is coming to an end and the US will have to inflate away the debt.

Tokenization will result in an unfathomable number of assets. Asking startups to determine the regulatory status of each individual asset would be like asking early Netscape to manually verify the contents of every single website.

Scaling DeFi is everything, and in that context a relationship between a DeFi protocol and a top tier Trust Company is nothing short of a paradigm shift. This opens the door to scalable DeFi backed by real world assets, protected by the worlds strongest legal structure.

Just came across @BeneathHQ products and am blown away. I can already think of four projects for which it will be perfect.
Added a new step to my r/wallstreetbets data pipeline on @BeneathHQ. Now, in real-time, I'm parsing the posts and comments for stock mentions. I ran a quick SQL query to find the top stocks in June:
