No one has ever shown this. Performance on a standardized incrementally difficult cycling or treadmill test predicts longevity.
Explaining it with vo2max is pseudoscience.
And this is done almost exclusively in BLOGS not in science papers.
The most popularly cited papers, Mandsager and Kokkinos, do not even mention the word “oxygen” let alone VO2max.
