The ATC app is one of the best products I've seen in a while. Lovely UI, novel displays, replays, the matching of visual flight tracking with ATC chatter, following a flight and getting ATC / pilot chatter in a chat-like UI, etc. Super, super well done.

If you are the type of human being who rawdogs the flight map the whole way, this company and product is for you.

We're incredibly proud to have led @EnhancedRadar's seed and excited to partner with @ericjacobbutton and @kayolord as they tackle aviation safety, building ground-up intelligent systems to give aviation professionals the insight today's infrastructure can't.

80+ airports in North America and growing, and they're hiring. Reach out for a chance to work with an incredibly talented team. ⬇️✈️
We have raised $7 million in funding, led by @Initialized to build the next generation of air traffic systems. We’re joined by investors such as United Airlines, Y Combinator, and other amazing firms and angels who I'll tag at the end of this thread
Really proud to be first investor with this one at YC, and for them to carry the torch with my friends @initialized

At Enhanced Radar, no engineer works beyond earshot of all the other engineers. We don't use "productivity tools." We open our mouths and speak to each other. Software people assemble hardware. Hardware people read code.

It's hard to overstate how important air traffic is to making sure our lives run smoothly. We've underinvested in this space relative to how critical it is. That changes now. Congrats on the fundraise!

Enhanced Radar is accelerating. In the last 12 months, we deployed hardware at over 80 US airports. Our foundation models are used daily by thousands across the national airspace system. We are on a practical mission to improve aviation outcomes, quickly.

do we need to build $45 million, 90ft concrete control towers, or can we give our controllers even better visibility from a remote office?

Let's invent a jet fuel additive actually useful for geoengineering and make chemtrails real.

@patrickc on Stripe:
“My intuition is that more of Stripe success than one would think is down to the fact that people like beautiful things and for rational reasons.
Because, what does a beautiful thing tell you? It tells you the person who made it really cared, and you can observe some superficial details, but probably they didn’t only care about those and did everything in else in slapdash way.
So, if you care about the infrastructure being holistically good, indexing on the superficial characteristics is not an irrational thing to do.“
Couldn't have said better and proud to have Patrick as an investor in @linear.
We shouldn't accept poorly made things and that lack beauty.
