ngl im generally reticent to discuss social issues on this platform, but as @sexyishaan is one of my best friends and discourse around this topic has been weighing on my mind lately, i'd be doing my conscience a disservice by not saying something:
indian american's are objectively the most successful immigrant diaspora in this country's history.
highest median household income? indian-american.
highest % of population with bachelor's degrees in america? indian-american.
executives of some of the largest companies in the world and fastest growing startups? indian-american.
even in politics, on both sides of the aisle, the immigrant population most likely to serve our country in elected office are indian-americans.
im not bootlicking, tryna be woke or whatever, im just stating the facts.
so when i see a bunch of racists get on this site, and cry and complain about a group of ppl who have done nothing but do things the right way and successfully chase the american dream, it pisses me off.
the indian-american story isn't separate from the american story. it's arguably the clearest example of it.
come here, work your ass off, build a life, contribute to the country, and leave it better than you found it. that's as american as it gets.
