Eight private health corporates were paid a staggering £1.69bn, over just 12 months, to put private beds on standby for Covid. No more than 78 beds were used in any one day & private hospitals delivered only 0.08% of Covid care overall.  They have gutted money from our NHS.

Tonight the House of Lords votes on changes to the draconian #PolicingBill. Police would have powers to stop & search anyone at protests. An "Asbo for protesters" would be created, banning named individuals from protests. These attacks on our democratic rights must be opposed.

I will not stop. Lying in Parliament is completely unacceptable. When I remember my parents I think of their unwavering honesty. They would never have lied, deceived or misled. I believe the overwhelming majority of people in this country feel the same way

Boris Johnson has again betrayed voters and this time it will cost millions of workers hundreds of pounds a year in higher taxes NHS staff will find themselves paying for their own promised pay rise (already a real terms pay cut!) Watch in disbelief
