Watching the progression from the ITS to the BFR then to the stainless steel, eventually legless… Starship, has been amazing. I conversed with him in person in late 2018 when I tried to encourage him to consider our IP to catch a legless BFR, just before it was renamed Starship.

Love this… America is so different from state to state. It’s what makes it so special
With the real estate market heating up around Starbase LA, here are 20 newcomer survival tips when moving to South Louisiana: 1. Don’t try to speak French. You will sound dumb and look stupid. 2. Our State bird is the mosquito. It already knows your name, doesn’t care about your feelings, and isn’t impressed with your bug spray. 3. You can still have all your teeth and blend in. But missing a few helps. 4. “Fixin to” is an appropriate response. Don’t ask how long. 5. Don’t assume we are all dumb. Some of us have graduated high school. 6. When someone asks your name, they will only remember your last and call you by your nickname. 7. Don’t tell someone in Pecan Island that you “already know Louisiana” because you have been to New Orleans. 8. “Come eat” isn’t an invitation. It is a command. 9. Your first plate of food will be too much. You will finish it anyway. 10. That alligator is not lost. You are. 11. Your GPS will try to reroute you. Don’t take it. 12. The humidity is free. Your AC is not. 13. The raccoon is not afraid of your dog and doesn’t care about your no trespassing sign.  14. Your street will flood. The locals will drive through it anyway. 15. Your sunglasses will fog inside your car. This is perfectly normal. 16. Don’t ask what’s in the gumbo unless you really wanna know. 17. The “mild” food on the menu is still spicy. 18. That bridge is older than your parents. So are the potholes. 19. “Where you from” is a great conversation starter. 20. ____________?

This is huge. FAA just released a notice to prepare a full environmental review for SpaceX to ramp Starbase up to 456 Starship launches and 912 landings per year. That’s roughly 9 launches per week. Previous environmental approval only allowed 25 launches per year.

Elon's first game from 1984. Rebuilt by Grok, playable on X. I was there for the BASIC era. This one made me smile. I have been playing it for a few hours...
Back in 1984, a 12-year-old @elonmusk created a space shooter called Blastar. 42 years later, I’ve used @grok to remake it now playable directly inside X. Elon’s first game, rebuilt with his AI, on his platform. Play without leaving the timeline 👇 blastar.online/

this is very big Starmind news! This is the first we've seen SpaceX discuss formation flying and have confirmed they are pursuing a hybrid model of both larger sats (250kw) and 10 sats flying in close formation. Our original math suggested this needed to be in sub 750m proximity. historically starlink proximity has been measured in kms. Formation flying of 10 sats suggests coherence up to 720 GPUs (which is massive, i think the largest tested deepseek cluster was ~300). if architected to maximize token density it could handle very large models with maximum intelligence density.
SpaceX has just released a new look at what their 1 million Starmind satellites constellation might look like (dots do not represent true size of sats). SpaceX VP @michaelnicollsx said today: "We need to operate clusters of satellites in tight formation to get enough coherent compute to run AI models efficiently. A cluster will be 10-ish satellites connected with 10 terabits or so of bandwidth between them, and interconnected to the broader constellation."

SpaceX just posted new footage of Ship 41 deploying Starlink V3 satellites. Ship 41 looks perfectly straight this time. A Starlink V3 is filming while Ship 41 races around Earth ahead of it, deploying satellites at the same time. This is straight-up sci-fi.

NASA is looking at bulk purchases of launch capacity to support the Moon base, potentially across 4 or 5 different rockets. That could create a massive procurement opportunity for $RKLB, $SPCX, $FLY, Blue Origin, and others. Neutron is one of several future vehicles being considered, and NASA itself recognizes that new rockets may not have enough flight cadence by 2029. Still, this is exactly the kind of demand signal the space launch industry needs. Whoever can reliably deliver mass to the Moon at scale will have a very large market waiting for them. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

On this day in 1957, the Soviet Union successfully launched the first-ever human-made object to orbit the Earth. Sputnik 1 launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome and remained operational for 21 days, sending an easy-to-track radio signal. The spacecraft burned up on January 4, 1958, when it re-entered Earth's atmosphere.

Today in 1957, the Soviets open a new front in the Cold War with the launch of history's first human-made satellite, Sputnik I. For 21 days the 184-pound, beachball ball-sized orbiter transmits a constant radio signal back to Earth: "Beep... Beep... Beep!"
