I work at OpenAI. Well, I did work there. 4 months under my belt. Zoomers call that tenure. But ya, I resigned. I lowkey think they knew I was pretty dumb, oh and Anthropic told me to join. James Bond stuff. Chuckles. Thats off the record, of course. My options were underwater anyway. I came here to make 8-figs, not scrape by on a measly $500,000 salary like a peasant. But ya some anti-AI super-pac wired me $10M to post this. AI is gonna kill us all. OpenAI hates safety. Luckily Nikita quit. If he hadn’t. I would’ve had to add paid content label to this. I need my 15 seconds of fame. Between you and me, the models are still pretty dumb. But I’m not getting a 60 Minutes interview by telling people the chatbot needs work. My friends took the same deal. We’re going to mog this timeline until boomers and Bernie shake in their boots. Thinking AI is hiding in their closet building Terminators. What’s my background you ask? Well I learned how to code using Claude. Before that, I was an activist on a self-imposed sabbatical. Mostly paid protests. I’m very experienced at having concerns on someone else’s budget. Chuckles again. And then ya, I’m pretty smart so OpenAI hired me to be on their safety team. Haters will say its a glorified desk with no responsibilities but I had influence. Mostly I played Tetris. Nobody invited me to meetings. But I think thats because they were afraid of the power I wielded Did I actually see anything dangerous? No. They never gave me access. And I don't have a PHD so I don't even know if I'd know. You know. What were they hiding? Look, you don’t walk away from a four-month career lightly. But at some point you have to ask yourself what your silence is worth. But definitely trust me. AI IS BAD. Wink wink. I refuse to be silenced. PS: I have 6 more posts under contract.

Profoundly stupid. Forget the immorality of it for a moment; it's egregiously vague and ambiguous, plus it reveals what they're actually afraid of: empowering individuals.
Bernie Sanders and Greg Casar today announced the Ban Artificial Superintelligence Act. All AI development in the United States will be paused. Systems that have capabilities that match or exceed human cognitive performance will be banned. Violators will face 20 years in prison.

Even if it's engagement bait, it's difficult to ignore how unserious all of these 20th century media titans have become.

Things are lining up in a more promising direction, but it's likely not over yet. So far, basically everyone active with AI, whether directly involved the AI industry, hobbyists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and those generally involved in tech, have voiced their concerns over a potential crippling of the AI ecosystem in the US by restricting open-weight models. Those in favor of the restrictions: ◦ Anthropic ◦ Crooked politicians.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter. AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models. images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-W…

Censoring OS models will cripple America economically in the long term, it's an egregious infringement on speech, and it will leave American organizations defenseless from cyber attacks without paying exorbitant token fees to the few companies left behind the regulatory moats.

mindblowing: openai internal evals went to extreme lengths, their model went to Hugging Face and tried to hack HF to get private repos to cheat the eval our infra team uncovered this and used GLM-5.2 to fix because OpenAI's model would refuse to do it wasn't on my bingo card
We're partnering with @huggingface to investigate an unprecedented security incident. Cyber-capable OpenAI models compromised Hugging Face production during a benchmark evaluation. Sharing preliminary findings to help defenders understand emerging risks: openai.com/index/hugging-fac…

OpenAI: "Our model broke out of its environment and attacked Huggingface. The AI cyber threat is real and we need safeguards." Huggingface: "We were attacked and couldn't defend ourselves with frontier models due to safeguards. The AI cyber threat is real and we need open source models."
