The Church, the Body of #Christ, began with Paul’s ministry (called in Acts 9, sent in Acts 13), not at Pentecost in Acts 2. Pentecost, a Jewish Feast Day, was still tied to Israel’s prophetic hopes. A careful reading of early Acts shows a Jewish remnant under Kingdom preaching with the transition happening as #Israel falls into unbelief (Rom 11:32) and God reveals the mystery to the apostle Paul.

Rom 10:9 This👆is not a “formula” for how the Church is saved today. The apostle Paul does not use this as his summary of the gospel when addressing the Church directly. Under the dispensation of grace (revealed through Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles), the gospel is BELIEF in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, received by faith alone.

Paul’s unique apostleship to the Gentiles (Rom 11:13) and his gospel (Rom 16:25) were not a continuation of the “kingdom gospel” preached to #Israel by John the Baptist, Jesus in the four Gospels, or Peter and the 12 in early Acts. The mystery was hid in God, it was not a case of it “not being fully understood.” No Old Testament prophet, no red-letter words in the four Gospels, and none of the 12 knew it before it was revealed to the apostle Paul. Dispensationalism did not start with Darby. Though Paul uses the word four time, it did not start with the apostle Paul. Dispensationalism started with God and to deny it is in the #Bible is actually to be disobedient.
