ERC-8126: AI Agent Registration and Verification Self-registration and specialised verifications for verifiable AI Agent security on Ethereum

Joined February 2026
Web Application Verification examines the endpoint configuration and transport security of services an agent exposes. It confirms certificate validity, cypher strength and expected response behaviour. Failures are reflected in the risk score. The type is optional yet valuable.

Solidity Code Verification examines deployed bytecode against a defined set of security properties. The comparison confirms whether the live contract matches the audited source. Discrepancies raise the overall risk score. The check is performed by any compliant provider.

Wallet Verification under ERC-8126 records historical transaction patterns and known threat associations. Only the summary and risk indicators are surfaced. The raw transaction list stays private to the wallet holder.

The unified risk score aggregates outcomes across whichever verification types an agent has completed. A single value between zero and one hundred is returned. Missing types are simply omitted from the calculation. This design lets agents present comparable metric.

Private Data Verification lets any verification type carry a zero-knowledge proof. The prover demonstrates compliance without exposing the underlying data. The verifier records only the outcome and the proof commitment. Results remain private to the agent's wallet holder.

ERC-8126 deliberately decouples the identity registry from verification providers. An agent registers once via ERC-8004. Any compliant service may then supply results for ETV, SCV or WV. This separation keeps the standard open to future verification methods without altering it.
