Team @erauerpl completing a successful hotfire of a composite MOE engine, reaching 1950lbf thrust 😎
After 2 previous attempts, our team was able to successfully hotfire a composite MOE engine, reaching 1950 lbf thrust. This keeps us on track for a December launch.
Thank you to our sponsors and partners who make this possible.

Today, after 3 prior attempts, us at @erauerpl were able to complete a full duration hotfire of MOE, our latest rocket engine. This test achieved almost 2000 pounds of thrust. This engine is intended to fly our collegiate altitude world record attempt rocket.

This summer myself and a couple other students put this together. Chamber is currently being printed by Evology. Hotfire this semester. Testing for future LVs.
@erauerpl
ERPL is hosting our annual flagpole meeting on Saturday, August 29th, at 1:00pm on the Student Union Lawn.
This will be our first meeting of the semester, and a great opportunity for interested students to meet our team and ask questions.
We hope to see you all there!
Where are ERPL members interning this year?
If any of these are your dream company, join ERPL this Fall!
This year has been a major step forward for our team, and ERPL would like to thank our sponsors, whose support has been essential to the rebuild of our fluids system and thrust structure. Your generosity allows us to continue pushing the boundaries of collegiate liquid rocketry.
ERPL closed out the year with a Triton Composite engine hotfire, testing our composite chamber and redesigned feed system.
After a hardstart 2 months earlier, ERPL successfully reached operational status with new hardware, achieving an average of 943 lbf thrust over a 5s burn.
Update on this: xitter.cf/erauerpl/status/203180…
Our first attempt at hot-firing a MOE V2 composite engine resulted in a hard start. The team followed preplanned contingencies to ensure safety of all personnel and the system was safed nominally. Our hot-fire testing is performed in a closed area and all debris was cleared after
In the meantime, MOE integration and testing milestones will continue with water flows of the vehicle and GSE fluids systems planned for the coming weeks.

Some more pictures of MINI-MOE’s launch yesterday. It has been great to be a part of the @erauerpl flight team and to contribute to this major step towards the launch of MOE. The journey has only just begun.
