Getting Bahij to join has been such an unlock. The amount of progress on everything the past couple months has been eye opening, excited to share more soon!!
Excited to announce I鈥檝e joined @eptmpa to build the future ot multi-material resin 3D printing.
We鈥檝e been heads down for the last two months building our first product.
We re-invented the full stack, everything from custom 3D printers to our own materials.
More to come on that soon 馃憖馃憖

Applications open now
We're looking for founders working on the hardest problems
Robotics. Drones. Space. Advanced manufacturing. Energy. New materials. Biosciences. Frontier AI models. Chips. And software that makes machines smarter.
If you believe that's you, we want to support you and push you further
just like the founders we've backed before:
Should I try printing this?
If you could place plastic, metal, and magnetic materials anywhere you wanted, would motors end up looking more like this?
Or are conventional, more manufacturable, designs already close to optimal?

Excited to be invested in @eptmpa and his company Polysynth.
I do a lot of multi-material FDM printing, and it changes how you think about what a part can be.
Bringing that capability to resin opens up a much bigger design space. I invested because I want this product to exist so I can use it.
About 9 months ago I started posting about a printer I was building in my apartment.
@aphysicist was my first verified follower. I DM鈥檇 him pretty much immediately, probably way too excited, talking about my vision for building printers in the US.
He didn鈥檛 have to respond, but he did. He gave me real support at a moment where I was mostly just alone in a room trying to convince myself this thing could be real. That meant a lot.
I grew up a few miles north of Detroit, so seeing one of the world鈥檚 great manufacturing cities get some stage time again feels personal.
This community has given me a lot of fuel. I鈥檓 thrilled to be coming home next week and getting to talk with some cool people in person.

Got my hands on an original Macintosh, all the injection molding and sheet metal were done in the Bay Area and assembled in Fremont. Only two sheets, seemingly steel, make up the frame. One larger one for the base and one for the floppy disk drive, about 1mm and 1.6mm thick respectively. The stamping is cool to see, it鈥檚 super stiff. Some welds on the floppy disk drive too, love to see it.
Sendcutsend manufactures every sheet metal part for the printers. In fact, most of the design of the printers was around their capabilities. Not only are they price competitive with oversea options but the parts arrive without having to travel the pacific. I鈥檓 so excited to see this news, pumped for the future and scs team!

If you like tech and use the internet chances are you鈥檝e seen one of our vids.
Making educational short form content is insanely difficult, especially with a tiny team.
We鈥檝e never used AI for any sort of generative use as we believe in human first organic content. But to produce informational videos in large volume we needed a way to research many topics quickly.
We want to change the way the world learns about technology while making it fun and accessible. This is just the start.
