Couldn't go to sleep without taking this out of my head, remembering that i suck at drawing, and realising this "joke"s probably been done a thousand times. But here you go; thanks @dorrismccomics!

Please remind me how we are moving forward. In this video, a machine from the year ~2000 (600MHz, 128MB RAM, spinning-rust hard disk) running Windows NT 3.51. Note how incredibly snappy opening apps is. 👇
i'm so bad at Connections i think the stats would be more useful if they showed how many groups i managed to complete instead of the number of mistakes

I thought i didn't have a strong position on the "0 vs 1 indexing" dilemma, just a slight preference for 0-indexig due to habit. But this Lobsters comment made me reconsider my position: lobste.rs/s/5cu6v2/why_do_ar…

20 years ago today, the first version of Ubuntu was released.

Last @3blue1brown video on holograms reminded me of this lego piece with a holographic sticker i had in the 90s (video taken from reddit)
i remember it blowing my mind as a kid. how could a *flat* sticker *contain* the information of a 3D object (still blows my mind a lil bit)
BTW, if you haven't watched the video, i cannot recommend it enough. I think i hadn’t felt a sense of magic so strong as in the first minutes of that video in a long long time
I now wanna have a big-ass hologram of some kind!

excellent article. i loved this idea of a generalized Goodhart's Law. i can definitely see it on education, politics, social media

I never got used to the "new" git subcommands for switching branches or discarding file changes. I wonder if using git checkout for everything is already a sign of being too old in this field.

Happy 3 year anniversary to this silly reaction video I made thinking no one would ever see it
finally someone attempts to answer this stupid philosophical question with an empirical test!
