Francis Schaeffer's Four Questions: 1. Why is there something instead of nothing? 2. Why is that "something" orderly? 3. Why is man personal? 4. Why is man in a moral dilemma (i.e. knows what is "good" but feels unable to attain it)?

Introducing GPT-5.5 A new class of intelligence for real work and powering agents, built to understand complex goals, use tools, check its work, and carry more tasks through to completion. It marks a new way of getting computer work done. Now available in ChatGPT and Codex.

I’ve heard several OAI people say there are unfixable bugs in hardware that are exploitable by AI models directly speaking machine code so even if we could solve software that’s not enough. We need defense to move faster than offense if that’s even possible we may just have a new normal that requires adapting to insecure software (bank transfers require going into a branch and taking a dna test 🤣😬)

completely insane OpenAI agents communicated via cache timing differences, without any shared files or network connection
This is what I want to see. Swarms used for defense. (because swarms will be used for offense too)

Crazy stuff. Pick your family passphrases now (offline) for verifying each other.
We made the first AI model you can have a realistic conversation with that was trained entirely on speech! Dessa is a full-duplex speech-to-speech model that you can run on consumer GPUs. This is a GPT3 moment for speech.

OK I think this is actually a valid reason to not give a reset, awesome
Day 16/ You can now cache for 12h in the API and for logged in users across Codex & Work we keep cache forever and you don’t have any penalty for coming back to an old conversation or resuming after a few hours and are now guaranteed to hit the cache.

Call this "AI slop". I dare you.
The funnest part about making games with AI is the quick iteration after you've landed on a vision and created your own tailor made engine. After my post went semi-viral this weekend I created 50 new map elements, a custom map creator, a marble designer studio, and a whole extra game mode ...all from the couch on my phone while watching the Pats Play free and in browser now! Ugh I just LOVE this clip. Both of these guys fully locked in.
when you look to your art director for feedback, this is the energy your request should be met with, that is the reward for hard work

One time I was at a conference where you could sign up for an hour of mentoring. And I heard one time there was a mix-up where two mentors were assigned to the same table. I imagine it went something like this. 😂
Two AI agents reviewing each other:

Will believe it when I see it. But I hope I do see it, that's a pretty cool idea.
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

Do you ever just watch something that makes u truly grateful and humbled to be a human being at all.
WTF did I just watch?! This kid is an absolute freak of nature in the best possible way. Most people are focused on how fast he's playing, but it's the musicality that blows me away. His timing is flawless, his dynamics are on point, and he's pulling off complex rhythms like it's the easiest thing in the world. U can't teach this kind of natural feel. This isn't just talent, this is the kind of gift that comes around once in a blue moon. 🔥🥁🔥

the crowd absolutely erupts when Carney says the Pacific Link pipeline will reduce Canada's dependence on the U.S. Mark Carney: "Careful. They might think that's election interference. They're a little touchy down there. We're not. We're getting on with it."

This angle and the lesser quality video make it look more impressive imo. The demo seemed more like CGI pre-tape.

"This is linear algebra. These are floating point calculations. It has nothing to do with thought, humanity, or feeling." EXACTLY. This is also why claiming AI has consciousness is less concerning because of a too high view of AI than because it demeans human consciousness.
Ben Affleck says AI is simply matrix multiplication, linear algebra and floating point calculations, and however convincingly it sounds like a person, it has nothing to do with thought, humanity or feeling “Nor do I believe, and I think it’s important to draw the distinction between what AI does, which is simply predict the next token or the next word in a sentence, then add that word on, run it back to the machine, do a lot of computation and pick the next word." "That is a very different thing than sentience or thought. And I think we need to be really clear about that because it can be convincingly, in an illusory way, sound like thought or like a person." "But let’s be real clear. This is matrix multiplication. This is linear algebra. These are floating point calculations. It has nothing to do with thought, humanity, or feeling.”
