Govt has taken First Step to destroy Triple Lock -Next Step Govt will Deploy Irish Men & Women to Non-UN Mandated ‘Peace Enforcement’ Missions -To Lebanon to Disarm Hezbollah? -This will NOT be Blue Helmet ‘Peacekeeping’ -Our #Neutral Status? Gone Against will of the Irish People

Our neutral status & UN Sanction intimately linked as these are multilaterally endorsed missions - in line with founding principles of UN - joining a non-UN mandated force is joining a military ‘coalition of the willing’ & a breach of our non-militarily aligned Neutral status

No that’s not the point - the point is it would not be peacekeeping - it would be peace enforcement in a civil war - on the side of Leb Armed Forces Vs Hezbollah -we would be fighting in a foreign war - and there would be body bags - ask the US - Hezbollah attacked them in Beirut

It’s NOT the same objective as UNIFIL - Christ on a bike! It’s a disarmament mission with use of force permitted - Peacekeeping was different - it was human shields to protect civilians - not engage Hezbollah - This govt is functionally illiterate on defence & security

Micheál Martin has finally met his toughest opponent on the triple lock: Micheál Martin.
Well, he did invite us to go back over his record

The Triple Lock is at the core of our neutrality. Micheál Martin said that that himself.
Scrapping it is a fundamental change to Ireland’s historic position. The Irish people must have their say.
This must be put to a referendum. 🇮🇪

GOVT MISINFORMATION ALERT - If Ireland deploys DF to proposed ‘EU Support Mission’ to Lebanon without Triple Lock -It will NOT be a Blue Helmet Peacekeeping Mission -It will be an EU (Von Der Leyen ‘We Stand With Israel’) Peace Enforcement Mission to Disarm Hezbollah -A CIVIL WAR

The Irish government is about to destroy our neutrality for the EU and US.
A cornerstone of what it means to be Irish swept aside for big business without any vote or citizen engagement.
For what died the sons of Róisín?

Irish neutrality must be protected.
A decision with such profound consequences for our country and future generations must not be rushed through the Dáil.
This must be put to a referendum. Let the Irish people have their say. 🇮🇪

One of the best moments I’ve ever spent with my son and brother.
Not sure it’ll ever be topped in a football capacity for us, incredible moment.
For me Kevin Grahams monologue on @ACSOMPOD captures the magic of the last days of last season.
I put this together to try to do justice to it. A huge grma to @PaulJohnDykes and all those on ACSOM and other "fan media" for creating the content that brings people together on the digital terrace as @Quinny3001 calls it.
Roll on Monday Night.
Hearts tomorrow.
Looking back at this moment. Seems a long long time ago.
And yet, its timeless.

If a Bookmaker gave odds of Even money vs 5/4 in a race, they would be bankrupted before the stalls opened.
94 percent overround ensuring you could back both outcomes and profit regardless.
A decent insight into the thinking of people who spend a disproportionate amount of time speculating on ethnicities under random crime articles.

Did anyone else notice that the police officer who spoke outside the court in Newry today referred to Donaldson as 'Jeffrey' and his co-accused as 'Eleanor'? I thought it was really creepy.

Internationally-acclaimed bestselling author Sally Rooney can no longer sell her books in the UK because she stands against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, supports Palestine Action, and opposes locking up pensioners for protesting against proscription.
This is Andy Burnham’s Britain.
Shame on him for allowing this.
